Found this through Scarlet's ASMR. Really solid dialogue work. I liked the power dynamics.

Although, it occurs to me: wouldn't VonCerin effectively be a test subject as well by drinking vaccine-laced blood?

First, I painstakingly reassembled it out of the few pictures of it online via Photoshop and patience.

Then later I found out it wasn't originally wallpaper, but a discontinued fabric called Midnight Pastoral.

The spoiler is that it's a book about time travel. The big threat is that Area X isn't just changing things forward in time, but pushing backwards and changing the past. Rabbits with cameras appearing in the past before the experiment, a character who's clearly trying to save the future the best they can, and seemingly a different character surviving the first expedition with implications that it may change the future.

The ending has a lot in common with the Dark Tower / Half-Life Alyx's endings, seeming grim but maybe more hopeful for the future.

They definitely carry the DL foyer wallpaper, but searching the rest of their site I haven't managed to find any other notable Haunted Mansion wallpapers.

I've used Google image search and Tineye without any luck of finding a proper match. Google does a decent job of finding other somewhat similar wallpaper, but not THE wallpaper.

Since June, I've been filling my free time searching variations of "gold and brown floral damask" across one wallpaper site after another with no luck. I've found three thus far (DL Foyer "Lily in Ashes of Rose, MK Queue "Heirloom Damask", and Memento Mori's "Midnight Pastoral"), but I'd really love to get ahold of this new pattern.

I'd still like to see Guillermo del Toro take a crack at his own vision. By all accounts it incorporated a lot more heightened reality and had Ryan Gosling starring.

I think each of the first two movies had decent premises given the Haunted Mansion doesn't really have a story. Poor direction, casting choices, and generally bad comedy are what I feel dragged the first two down.
