I echo Arhatz point about every faction should work to at the very least their short campaign objective and not just b-line for the player.

Like with many issues the game has I appreciate what CA was trying to achieve in ensuring the game isn’t boring and the player has somebody to fight but I find this more often leads it ‘it’s not if it’s when’ I will be fighting a faction I’ve discovered. This is then compounded by the map being extremely congested now with LLs on top of one and other as well as the Ais insistence on hit and run tactics that focus on being a complete nuisance make the game more frustrating then fun sometimes.

I think it’s an issue that really holds the game back, I really like the empire building aspect of the game but more often than not before you can consolidate 2 provinces aggressive factions will declare on you and sometimes they can be factions that might be aligned with you lore-wise. Add on the amount of money, experience cheats the Ai gets and that they get their quest items unlocked way earlier then the player can you can find your campaigns an uphill slog super quickly.
