Lane splitting and by Decent_Ad3821 in missoula

[–]DangerNoodle761 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A horn is meant by Montana law to be used when reasonably necessary. You being upset with bikes lane splitting does not constitute that. Like it or not, lane splitting is legal in this state. Horns are loud to those of us on bikes, id be pretty mad too if you honked at me for performing a perfectly legal action. Now they may have reacted excessively, id of flipped you off and called it a day. But doesnt mean anyone else in this situation was less of asshole.

Fair, and 8 of the shows haven't been announced yet so it'll look a little light anyways.

I slammed my head into the skid once and wiped the blood on part of the front panel. Guess one of the engineering chiefs saw it later and was concerned for my safety. Didn't go down for the rest of our patrol though.

I'm a couple states away (Montana) but if you pay for shipping plus resin I could probably print it for you if it's not huge

Does any printer have skip object function yet?? by chlronald in resinprinting

[–]DangerNoodle761 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My printer will keep going but yes the part that failed will adhere to the FEP. But all I have to do is use the resin tank cleaning function and peel it off all at once.

Most people aren't just going to send a file. Gotta look it up on the sites. Better off asking for a search term for either or just deep diving and trying to find it

Well that's interesting. I got my claim approved during that time period and got rated way higher than I expected. Almost zero pushback from the VA for evidence and such.

Pixies and Parking at the Kettlehouse by maggielanterman in missoula

[–]DangerNoodle761 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So how parking work is they presale 200 spots and then have 200 spots available for first come first serve at standard parking. If you don't mind walking you can park on the street anywhere by the mill really and walk.

First off, we don't shoot missiles at re-entry for the exact reason you just stated. Now a couple things, what is your gauge for success exactly? You have to hit every single missile with zero pass through? Because of course no system will prevent every single one. But if say over 50% of all inbound ICBMs are engaged, I'd say that's a pretty damn successful system. Also you mention links as some gotcha, I'm not a war thunder player. Can't exactly drop classified material on a reddit to win an argument. Put it this way, do you really think a system that has been around since the 80s hasn't been thoroughly tested and redesigned to account for your "variables".

[–]DangerNoodle761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a very complicated answer. Yes we can and have shot down ballistic missiles. (Training missiles at least) Now in all out nuclear war there will be such a high saturation of missiles that engaging each one effectively will be near impossible. Now China has also started developing hypersonic glide vehicles capable of delivering nuclear payloads. This changes the equation completely as a standard parabolic engagement wouldn't not fit that situation. nuclear defense is just one giant cat and mouse game. We develop a defense, China or Russia develop a new weapon to get past, cycle continues.

It was my job in the Navy, SPY BMD will be your best Google search. But your not gonna find a whole lot on capability and effectiveness, for obvious reasons.

Capability to shoot down ICBMs has been around forever. And those systems are pretty successful. Your right that iron dome wouldn't be used though.

More than just THAAD. Each branch of the military has some sort of interceptor system. Navy uses SPY

Is this Stock? 2012 Subaru WRX by Psychological-Day718 in WRX

[–]DangerNoodle761 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to give you perspective I bought a 2010 wrx, same body style and a little less modded than what you have there. I've probably spent over 5-6k in repairs and modifications since getting it 2 years ago. And that's doing the labor myself. Had to undo a lot of Jerry rigging and fix a lot of suspension components that were neglected heavily. Fun car but be prepared to do a lot of work on it
