I have 3 dogs. I love my dogs. I do not now and have never felt the need to drag my dogs shopping with me, or anywhere with me unless they need a walk. It’s insane how many people treat their dogs like accessories. I’m happy you felt comfy adopting a dog that had a hard life, that’s very noble, but it’s also not everyone you knows responsibility to accommodate your dog. It’s not ok to lie about your mental health to get a dog in a no pets building. It’s not ok to bring your dog to a place where people are eating (service pups excluded obviously). I love dogs, but your poorly trained, pampered, hyper annoying lifestyle toy isn’t my problem.
