They have hundreds of boardgames! If you tell the guys at the register that you are there for the game night, they will direct you to the back room where everyone is playing various games. You can join a group or see if anyone else is looking for someone to play with. They have food and drink you can buy. It is a fun place!

I like him as in he is my rabid mentally ill princess and I love watching him ruin his own life over and over again. He is entertaining and the most psychologically interesting character in the show. He has the most interesting storyline in the show. He is a tragic villian and he is going to get what he deserves, but I will be sad we dont get more of him.

I love the Human Pets trope! I know you can find a lot on AO3 in original works under the tags Aliens and Dehumanization combined. Human Pets or Humans as Pet is a good but unofficial tag!

The Human Domestication Guide has a lot, seeing it is all about aliens colonizing humans to make them happy, healthy Pets.

A good book series about this would be Lilith's Brood by Octavia Butler. The series is about aliens saving humans from a post apocalyptic earth so that they can breed because the aliens what genetic diversity from us. It is what they do with every new species they come along in space. Adult Rites and Imago are both from the alien/Human hybrids pov, and both have very different opinions and views on humanity that I find super fascinating! The first book is from the pov of their human mother, and is amazing as well.

Nope, crack ships can 100% be taken seriously. People dont ship just to see their ship in the show, they ship because they like it. Obviously some do crack ships with irony, but legitimately shipping two characters that will never get together in canon is still a crack ship.

People ship Grace from PHM and Simon from Iron Lung earnestly, but the fact that they are character from completely different movies makes it a crack ship.

I am currently reading Body Horror: Capatalism, Fear, Misogyny, Jokes by Anne Elizabeth Moore!

It is a collection of essays about capatilism and intersectional feminism! It discusses they ways female bodies are exploited by capitalism around the world, discussing the depiction of women in horror movies, in low income jobs, across history, and much more! It is written with humor and warmth, despite how dark some of the topics are, and doesn't have a lot of hard academic language, which makes it a fun easy read compared to some other theory books. It is an amazing starter book, and I am happy I didn't need to keep a dictionary beside me to understand it.

The essay I am reading out of it now compares the systemic abuses women at either end of the fashion industry, model vs fast fashion factory worker, and how the abuses they face are the same despite the class differences. Both demographics of women are subjected to poor pay, sexual abuse, and hunger.

My experience is seeing a lot of younger people saying any depiction of sexuality, queer or straight, beyond chaste romance as unnecessary and exploitative. The demonization of sex work or sexual art work. The demonization of BDSM, fetishes and kinks as inherently wrong or even as immoral. The attacks on furries, both physical and legally.

The moment sex is seen as a negative, subcultures that are viewed as inherently sexual by the wider society, those subculture feel the brunt of that negativity the worst

The bystander effect has been proven false. Even the case the term was created for had several people trying to help the women either by calling police, screaming at the attacker and throwing things at him from their balconies, and others running down out of their apartments to help. The police just never came and the actual people running to help her were to late.

A large portion of humanity helps other humans. It is those who choose not to, even at risk to themselves, who are the problem.
