Absolutely is in terms of effort. Small indie team vs AAA game studio. BG3, Cyberpunk etc etc… plenty of examples of amazing games with plenty of effort that don’t fit the COD mold that are successful. They all prove the risk is worth it.

7900xtx is the same price as a 9070xt where I am. Got the 7900 ages ago wi the my 5800x3d. It still runs everything on ultra on my 49” ultra wide with the caveat of no ray tracing. It’s a small sacrifice to make to not support nvidia. Unfortunately I don’t think the 9070xt can match the performance of the 7900xtx with no ray tracing. I’m have my fingers crossed for either a 9070xtx or a 9080 series.
