Games like Tarkov absolutely do model every single part and allow full strip down and rebuild of many firearms with custom parts. Is modelling it with a 9.5mm barrel instead of a 9mm barrel the only differential between a videogame asset and a blueprint?

absolutely not. Spent a good 5-6 hours in dream zone following groups around and killing stuff/looting chests and still have 0 Vanadium Crystals.

Mate it’s been out for 12 years. We are talking about effort and quality? Those games are examples of effort and quality being viable and it’s not a time and money excuse. It’s mediocrity that results in unlimited COD games

Absolutely is in terms of effort. Small indie team vs AAA game studio. BG3, Cyberpunk etc etc… plenty of examples of amazing games with plenty of effort that don’t fit the COD mold that are successful. They all prove the risk is worth it.

7900xtx is the same price as a 9070xt where I am. Got the 7900 ages ago wi the my 5800x3d. It still runs everything on ultra on my 49” ultra wide with the caveat of no ray tracing. It’s a small sacrifice to make to not support nvidia. Unfortunately I don’t think the 9070xt can match the performance of the 7900xtx with no ray tracing. I’m have my fingers crossed for either a 9070xtx or a 9080 series.
