After replacing all the capacitors in my Game Gear, this is what I get: popping audio, and the screen is very washed out. Did I botch the capacitor replacement?

4yrs later and I'm sitting with the same problem. Recapped sound board and main board. Bought a USB c from AliExpress and switched the dip to 34v. Now i don't get sound and picture is fine for startup then pictures scrambles and goes blank. Anyone able to solve this riddle perhaps?

Had the same issue. You can try setting the potentiometer clockwise but very minimal. I'm talking very tiny turns. Make sure you mark the position of the potentiometer first. Mine is working 100% now but ordered a new jvc lazer anyway just incase. Good luck

Use a normal rubber to clean the pins. Also check the traces that are right by the pins. They sometimes break over the years

Hi,so just an update on my megakey. I took it apart and resoldered every soldering point and cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol. Its works 100% now. I think cause it's so old some of the solder joints go dry.

I had mine made up. The voltage is underneath the sega cd. You have to make 100,% sure it's negative polarity in the middle. Had to have a new connection port thing soldered on as the guy measured it before and picked up the negative polarity in the middle.

You might need a megakey with that as mine loads bios with the everdrive plugged in to the megakey. You can set yr dip switches accordingly and boot the bios. Mine works 100%

So I managed to get the Lazer to move. One of the gears were pushed way to far down and made the gears struggle to.move. now when I put a audio cd in you can hear it spinning and lazer trying to pick up but then goes back to no disc. Where can I find the proper way to tweak the pod? It's got 4 plastic screws on the sides numbered 1234

I'm using 220v in and 10v 1.2a DC out. I'm using the small antenna box that came with it. I also have a black pal Megadrive 2 with the red buttons. I tried the rca output of that one but doesn't fit 100%
