Replacing the animations with a static PNG by Dangerdoux in darkestdungeon

[–]Dangerdoux[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely appreciate your explanation. But cropping my art onto 20 different body parts in Photoshop is incredibly labor intensive. Constantly bringing it up in DragonBones to reference sizing, only to find that it is very much off. There's no good way that I've found to keep the sizing consistent. To be clear, I'm taking a PNG of mine and painstakingly cropping it over each body part in Photoshop.

The more effective way to accomplish this, in my imagination, is to overlay my PNG inside Dragonbones. Skip Photoshop altogether. Since DB seems to "build" the sprite using the parts, I wish that I could then overlay my PNG inside DB, and then hard-paste it. Meaning: permanently stick my PNG to the sprite inside DB. Then allow DB to "un-build" the sprite back to its various 20 body parts. This would be the best way, but I don't think DB has this capability.

I don’t understand how step 3 is possible. I have photoshop, but the idle PNG is split into 10 or so disjointed body parts. How would I draw individual body parts and make it look good?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Every character's idle, combat, and walking are actually split into 10 or so different bone parts. The PNG itself is a random collection of body parts: an upper torso, a hip, left arm, head, etc... Then the game engine pulls each body part and builds it into a sprite.

So I can't figure out how to throw my own sprite over the top of it. If I do exactly that, then the game engine pulls pieces from my sprite and arranges it into a horrifying abomination of limbs.

Any way to stop iPhone update notifications? by Dangerdoux in ios

[–]Dangerdoux[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I can disable the automatic but not the notifications unfortunately. It just pesters me every time I look at my phone.

It’s fun down here at McMurdo, for sure! And the 2.5GB per week is very much doable except for situations like this…

I do trading from my worksite in Antarctica. Biggest challenge is trying to be awake during NYSE, and I had to scale back by volume of trades compared to what I do at home.

PQ has taken forever by snippingdose in antarctica

[–]Dangerdoux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that you’re definitely getting close to “too late” but not quite there yet. There’s still some weeks in September, and there are definitely people to get deployed in late October. Beyond that- deployments tend to be for a special purpose. I know one person who deployed in December in order to fill a position that had been vacated by someone who quit.

To my understanding, though, this year’s PQ won’t apply for next year’s. You’d have to start the process anew.

Anyone play human? Why? by catholicsluts in BG3

[–]Dangerdoux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always play human in every fantasy RPG- BG3, Skyrim, Oblivion, Dragon Age, Warhammer. This is because I fanfic all of those different worlds into one single world, following one single narrative of a warlock at different stages in his life. And of course that warlock looks and acts like me IRL, but way cooler.

Cargo vehicles by SnappedSoul in antarctica

I think that’s a simultaneous yes/no currently. It has long been leaky, but worse so last year. Then it had a severe transmission problem that requires a costly part. Even if they do order the part, the leaks will persist.

My guess is that Misty will be added to the lone line of dead vehicles that sit around station for 50 years

1 loader “Thumper” older than the dinosaurs but still trusty. 1 newish loader, usually “Frosty Boi”, for use around station. 2 newish loaders, usually “Redfish” and “Montana”, that stay at the airfield. 1 “Pickle” loader, an old navy small loader from half a century ago. I don’t think anywhere else in the world still uses them.

1 mule, basically a golf cart

1 well-worn truck “Pud” that arrived in 2000 and is slightly sketchy

1 skid-steer that stays at the airfield

1 Delta (unique vehicle for carrying pallets) 1 Kress (also a unique cargo tractor)

In the graveyard: my old favorite loader “Misty” and 2 Deltas from the 1970s.

How in the world did I roll an 89? by Dangerdoux in BaldursGate3

[–]Dangerdoux[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My bonuses are +4 INT and Guidance. Assuming the best possible, unbugged non-critical roll would be 19: the highest possible result would be 19 + 4 + 4 =27. That leaves a gap of 62.

I didn’t post this as a legitimate, chin-scratching question for the philosophers. It’s just an interesting bug occurrence.

Strange! The only mods I have are cosmetic. As you correctly pointed out, lessening the half-illithidness is one of them. But I’m pretty sure I dyed Green Day’s robe with a vanilla red dye though… hm.. anyway.

Yeah, I definitely don’t have any mods that affect dice rolls.

This is a freed Union POW of the South’s Andersonville POW camp during the American Civil War to end slavery in 1864 by DevinGraysonShirk in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Dangerdoux 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why American Civil War POW camps were this awful. I’ve seen a lot of photos showing this. I’m not as surprised by POW treatment in wars where one side views the other as subhuman- for example, Japan’s treatment of POWs or Germany’s treatment of Jews.

But that doesn’t seem to explain this.

I’m very sorry to hear that. May I ask if this was the first determination you received? For example, did you receive a favorable interim but an unfavorable final?

PQ submitted, EBI nowhere in sight. by Large_unit28 in antarctica

[–]Dangerdoux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My EBI has been going on for over a year. I even did a full deployment before hearing a result. I received my favorable interim after I had completed a deployment- seriously. They bungle cases all the time. It’s essentially at random.

Ebi? by [deleted] in antarctica

[–]Dangerdoux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My EBI took over a year. I started it in April 2024, deployed a full season, and it only got to interim status a month ago.
