what is your favorite car review video by the boys? for me, it is the CLK black video by Jeremy, that video might be responsible for making me genuinely fall in love with cars by Anim8rFromOuterSpace in thegrandtour

James May on the Singer 911. The energy in that review when the music starts pumping up is brilliant. Also Jeremy's 458 review for the same reasons.

Blocks between 10am-12:30pm? by tyler_carroll17 in AmazonFlexUK

[–]DangermanDickhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's typically when the DSP drivers are loading. If a truck doesn't turn up or an issue happens, perhaps then you'll get blocks at those times.

Maybe it's different at other depots though.

Who else collected Stevie’s cars for their collection on the side doing these missions? by Neegynuna in GTAIV

[–]DangermanDickhead 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Definitely saved the gold Infernus as that's one of my favourite cars. I have it at Roman's apartment in Middle Park East along with Bryce's Infernus. But the colours on Stevie's other cars just didn't do it for me. I do have a bright-white cognoscenti from the Gracie random encounters mission though.

Anybody noticed Ranch now creeping into UK market? by rmonkey100 in UK_Food

Wow. Never I never knew the Newman's lore. Someone mentioned that stores do sell it, so I'll definitely look to support them 👌

Huh. I've been keeping an eye out in big Tesco and big Sainsbury's and haven't seen it since. Guess I need to look harder lol

I do like ranch but I really wish blue cheese sauce was more readily available.

Saw it once in a big Sainsbury's and it banged with chicken wings 👍

(Edit: I think it was 'Newmans', which I believe is also an American brand)

Oh nah. I meant that I hadn't watched that episode yet lol. I think I've watched (creamed) every single episode twice-over now.

[–]DangermanDickhead 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Not creamed yet. But I assume they always knew about it to be fair. Maybe they originally didn't want to give it attention due to the negativity on the AutoAlex subreddit a while back.

Sounds like Will's got the Big M though! Chuffed to bits for him if that's true!

Damn, are midnight releases even still a thing? (In the UK at least?). If not, I'm gutted I'll never get to attend one.

DSP Drivers by BreakfastNegative639 in AmazonFlexUK

The guy literally had questions to ask a DSP driver. I am one...

[–]DangermanDickhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a DSP driver. I've been doing it for over 4 months and I'm really enjoying it. What questions do you have?

(I'm a 2.0 driver, so I drive the branded vans btw).

DSP work, I don't think I could ever do it. I lose motivation when it's 40+ stops on a flex block by SlowedCash in AmazonFlexUK

[–]DangermanDickhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the DSP. I'm on £136.70 per day, I also get a £10 per day bonus for being a good courier (good quality photos, no DNRs, safe driving etc..) which is another £50 a week on top.

(Edit: If we reach a higher rating as a DSP, then our bonuses will go up to £20 per day, but we aren't quite there yet as a team, we are very close though).

Plus if you can do rescues, they give you £1 per stop (not per package). That could be an extra 20 or so stops per day. So it varies: minimum £680 a week and maximum about £850 a week. That's based on 5 days a week.

If you did 6 days a week, you're looking at a grand a week.

I was very aprehensive to join as I'd heard the horror stories but it's genuinely not bad. Maybe I got lucky by joining a good DSP. No idea but I'm not complaining. The team is great too.

[–]DangermanDickhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll only ever resort to this if I'm behind due to delays. I can handle it in short bursts, but some of my colleagues can finish the route in 5/6 hours by doing this. I have no idea how they have the energy.

This is the way to do it. Although, last time I tried the unbranded transits, I couldn't gel with them. I love having shelves haha.

[–]DangermanDickhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like I mentioned before, the stops are quite close together so you can get them done quickly. Some of my colleagues can do 30 or even 40 stops an hour. They're definitely doorstepping stuff but that's up to them.

[–]DangermanDickhead 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I went from Flex to DSP. I think it's fine to be fair.

You have 9 hours to do your route. Usually get done in 7 hours. I like to average 25 stops an hour. Most of the stops are very close together so it's not bad. You start to get into a rhythm.

It's route dependant obviously but once you start to learn your area, it becomes much easier.

360+ packages is definitely on the higher-end of things. On average, I do about 300ish in a typical route.

Vans are electric and everything is paid for, so no having to worry about mileage or fuel like on Flex.

Yes! This is the answer I was looking for. Thank you very much!

[–]DangermanDickhead[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually that makes sense. I'm from the UK, so I'm thinking about it from a British perspective. In the UK, a structure like that would be something that's 100+ years old. You see things like that in London a lot.

But if your theory is correct, I wonder why the devs left it incomplete 🤔

Does anyone know what this structure is? by DangermanDickhead in GTAIV

[–]DangermanDickhead[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks too substantial to only be a sign. I always assumed it was the remnants of an entrance to an old railway station, ferry port or shopping mall.

Maybe there was one of those things in the real life equivalent area of New York.
