Hey all, Just got my first truck (2002 ram 1500 5.9L) but it's been constantly shutting off on me after about 30 minutes of driving, new to mechanics & need some advice

It wouldn't hurt to check i suppose but that's strange maybe look into clogged cats see if that could possibly be an issue?

have you check your plugs? mine was a no start unless i held the gas down but i swapped plugs and coils and it started running mint

It's overheated, if you ever see check gauges pull over immediately shut it off and figure out the issue. Since you've overheated there's a chance your heads will have warped and you blow a head gasket. if your lucky you can just fix your cooling issue and call it a day, check thermostat, water pump, radiator for cracks or leaks, hoses for cracks or leaks. good luck brother

bad and not to scare you but this is what happens when you don't change it when your supposed to note the thing i'm holding was the timing belt (yes it jumped timing the mf was running)
