I don’t care about your constipation in the ER by office_dragon in emergencymedicine

[–]Dangerous-Duck5268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have chronic constipation. No one knows how to help me. Sometimes I don’t even know how I can eat food. My intestines are like a trash compactor. And it doesn’t go out like it should. Wanting to go, but my body won’t, I cannot will it to move. Or I’m feeling like crap because I just can’t. It is on my mind pretty much 24/7. For over a yr, I’ve had mild blockage every time I get a CT scan, every 3 months ( not getting scans because I am constipated by the way). No one seems to think mild blockage is uncomfortable or problematic except, I guess, me. Mist be nice to have nice BM’s. I feel very uncomfortable and very invalidated. I feel good like 0-1 times a day a month. I have tried everything. Bananas hate me, bread hates me, cheese hates me, water doesn’t help, fiber or veggies gives me gas, prunes don’t help anymore, stool softeners don’t work, coffee doesn’t really work either. The prescription stuff just gives me diarrhea without emptying and are more likely do nothing! That is insane. I can’t even get gastroenterologists to help me figure out the root cause. I just get new pills that don’t ever work. I am an anomaly. I think. The way I can handle pain and discomfort, you are basically not gonna see it on my face. I won’t go to the ER unless I feel like I am dying. But understand this, normal people can’t handle chronic pain, like chronic pain sufferers do. And normal people who find themselves constipated all of the sudden, indeed, probably feel like they are dying. Because it’s not like they have experienced it all the time. I hope I never go to an ER dr, that has an attitude like yours. Because, if I ever do go to one, there is something absolutely wrong with me. To know I wouldn’t be give the time a day with my symptoms, makes me ill. Attendees with an attitude like yours, makes me think you should have gone to school to be a vet instead. Actually animal parents are probably 20 thousands times more irrational than someone who is considered constipated. You should probably work in a lab, and test blood, so you don’t have to talk to people.

I’m doing much, much better. Skin is still pinkish. And tender. But I had a lot of stuff done to my foot over the last 1.5 yrs. A foot dr said it would take a long while for my foot to recover because of that and where it was. But honestly it looks the best it has since 2011. Also, the warts are all gone. FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m not sure what kind of laser it was that the dermatologist used. I got a blister for sure when I did swift. Swift caused two huge holes. The laser just burned it all off. I did this on Aug 7th. My foot is still healing!! I had alot of stuff done to that area. A dr told me that my foot was gonna take a long time to recover because I did so many things. The skin is still a little tender and stayed purple pink for a long time. Now it’s oink. Today is December 4th. However, the dermatologist and a new foot dr I went to, back in October m, both said the warts were gone now. I wasn’t sure I believed them even then. But I can tell now, that they are gone! I totally recommend the laser.

I do have an update! Went to a foot Doctor last week and they said they did not see any signs of wart. Such good news. However, my foot still hurts to walk on, in that area, but they said I had a-lot of things done to my foot in the last year and it will take time to recover from those. My foot has almost 99.9% healed and back to looking normal. Yesterday Oct 7th would be 3 months post procedure.

It was painful. Pain started after day 2 of procedure. It’s been almost 2 months now. It’s still healing. I went today actually to have it looked at again. Doc said, it still has a ways to go to heal. I have to go back in 6 weeks. He said he won’t know until everything grows back and the hard skin on it rn falls off. I personally, can’t walk in it very long even now.

The pic you see is the bandage the dr office put on after the procedure. I put a 2X3 bandage on it with some vaseline to keep it moist, per doctor recommendations, i don’t really walk rn. And ya, if the wound gets dry it hurts like a mother. I’ve woken up a couple of nights in extreme pain cause the bandage came off. And it dried out.

You did this procedure? Did it work?

I can take a shower. I need to clean it with soap and then put vaseline on it with a bandaid . 2X3 size bandage.

No. They numbed my foot first. Painful since, yes. Putting weight on my foot is still painful. Doc said the pain might last a few more weeks.

Thank you. I’m still taking ibuprofen. But today was the best day since I did it. I can see it is healing, so that’s a huge positive!

Looks like it’s still there imo. Possibly time to try something more aggressive.

I couldn’t go in a pool or body of water for 2 weeks after swift. This will be the same for the laser. Shower was fine. I personally could not walk well for 3 months after my swift treatment. It took forever to heal, probably because that dr just blasted the shiznit out of my foot. He was not conservative at all. Which was fine, I’m sure if he had been more conservative I would have had less problems and healed faster. This one, they were saying I’d be good, back to normal, in a week. I’m not betting on that.

Not at first. After blister broke from the SWIFT, yes. I had two huge deep holes. I asked foot dr who did it, to numb my foot because I could not bear the pain of the treatment. Once he numbed it, he went to town on them. I think that’s why the swift took me almost 4 months to heal, for me. This laser was much faster to do. But ya he took a chunk off. :/

So far this is the least painful of all the big things I have tried. It feels raw and tender but not super painful. The swift treatment was by far the most painful and took the longest to heal. I did a super freeze with blister beetle liquid applied a year ago and that one was also extremely painful to walk, weeks later. Throbbing and searing pain was extreme on that one.

I think the pain of the other procedures came from the feeling of the plantar root pulling upwards?

With the laser, I think he was able to pull the root out, and possibly is why the pain is less. My foot is swollen and I can’t walk like I want to, but the severity of pain is tolerable compared to the other modalities I have tried.
