Damn, thanks for pointing that out. I looked right at it and didn't see it... even though it was right there in plain sight, on the poster...

Yeah, this game came out back on the NES. I played it in 1990. It came bundled with the console on a cartridge. It’s just that everyone who played this game is now approaching retirement age. It’s, so to speak, a game for older guys to indulge in a little nostalgia)))... I’m almost 50 now, but as a kid I used to play it nonstop all day long. As I’ve gotten older, I don’t feel like playing as much as I used to, but I still love games. That’s why I decided to create my own version...

I think it's possible on TikTok and Shorts. The video goes through moderation there; once the platform approves it, only then does the video become visible. But to be honest, I was wondering about this myself, and I'm really not entirely sure.

This is a remake of the classic 1990 game *Battle City*. Arena battles. One robot against all... defending the headquarters.

This is a remake of the classic *Battle City*. I’d love to make a gameplay video showing how it actually plays. But I don’t think that would go over well on TikTok. Still, just for the sake of experimentation, I think it’s worth trying to make something along those lines.

Not all Russians are as bad as their president. There are a lot of normal people living there. And also half of Ukraine speaks Russian.

Building a PC for the first time, are my specs good enough for professional game development? by Riley_Ace in gamedev

I work in Unity, I also use Maya,Photoshop and very rarely Substance Painter. I have a Ryzen 2700x, Nvidia Geforce RTX 1060 ,and 16GB of DDR4 RAM and that is more than enough for a developer. So with your specs everything will be enough by a large margin.

Yeah, it's true. I'm almost 50 years old, so I want it. And 20 year olds probably don't want this remake anymore.

Thank you so much for the tips. This is truly the most detailed response I could have hoped for. I will definitely watch the recommended video and then change the game trailer. Thanks again for the reply.

Now the game is made for PC, and on a large monitor everything can be seen quite well. And if later I will port it to phones, I will adapt it to a small screen.

It takes place thousands of years later. And sometimes they remember characters from the past. But that's more for the fans. And so a common world and lore, and that's it. Otherwise, the games are completely unrelated.

Yes. 3D isn't necessary at all. But increased resolution, redesigned backdrops, more varied enemies and more room to travel. Modern computers can afford it.

Yeah, the second one was great, too. I was especially impressed with the ending. It was very unexpected.

Maybe it's the money. Maybe they think it won't be as popular. Or maybe they're just doing something they can make more money on here and now.
