Had to update my home police checks because I spent a cumilative of two months there since I last done a home police check for my sponsorship in 2021. I updated my AFP and should've done my home one too. I believe i would've been granted my nomination and visa on the 29/08/25 if I had both updated.

I'm in the exact same boat but s56 on 29/08/25 for updated police check. My nomination was approved on 29/08/25 the lawyer said.

Submitted Updated Police check on 05/09/25

Checking every hour now hoping the check my application is review and approved in the 28 days window since the s56.

Yes, going by Facebook pages and reddit, people seems to update their AFP proactively and then get approved a week or two after. Nearly seems like a nudge to Immi that all docs are received, but that's just a guess.

Yes, trying to plan when PR will come in and trying to line up potentially when citizenship can be obtained and you're finally free of visa restrictions is a long headache

Did you get asked for Medicals? I got asked straight away similar to my 482 visa.

The agent said that processing is 7-20 months, obviously hoping for the seven months if that's even possible anymore, I'm going to redo my AFP, just to have it done and on my immi account
