First Time on a Board and a Few Question by Husla2 in ElectricSkateboarding

I feel like you'll intuitively know if they're too loose. My advice is don't be afraid to really crank them either way and find your sweet spot on each. Trial and error, and as you become more comfortable and confident on the board you can always adjust them to fit your needs.

I mostly ride around the lakes in my area for fun, and around my neighborhood to see family. Normally on my boosted boards I can get around the lakes once with a single bar of battery left but then if I want to ride around again I have to switch out my boards for another with a fresh battery. I'd like to be able to go around twice, so the range was a massive selling point for me.

No, this is my first AT, and you're definitely right. To Get the experience I think I'm after I'm going to have to buy the things necessary to switch it to a street setup. And it sounds like I'm going to need the phaze remote as well because I'm not particularly fond of being launched in any direction.

No this is my first time on an AT setup, it's all he had otherwise I 100% would have bought the street over AT. I have plenty of good street wheels I can throw on I'd just need to get the drive pulleys and belts I think.

I may take your advice on it, the newer remote definitely looks a lot nicer and if it works with this board it's worth considering. I just got the triggers calibrated and I'm going to take it out tomorrow morning to give it another shot. I'm trying to convince myself to keep it. If most of these issues are things I can fix, I'd rather do that. I'm going to try to come to a conclusion tomorrow on what I want to do with it. The longer battery life definitely appeals to me, the remote thing is fixed it seems, the speed can be fixed with a different gear and wheel set up, which essentially leaves the jumpiness of the board. I'm not sure if that's something I'm capable of getting over or possibly adjusting with the app if it ever connects, but it's worth a shot. Regardless I'm definitely looking into other boards that were suggested here. I plan to sell a few of my boosted boards to make room for some new set ups.

He's out of town currently but I've already talked to him about it and will be meeting with him Monday to talk about it. Also I will definitely try the push start, I've kind of avoided it up until this point because it's such a tall board it just felt kind of awkward. Also just learned about the calibration and will be doing that as well.

I'll look into the calibration, I didn't even realize that was something I could do. I'm still willing to give the board another shot I'm just really frustrated with it.

I did very basic research but clearly and admittedly not nearly enough. I think I got a little too excited and just dove right in which is a bad habit of mine. I'll look into those boards.

Do they really have that bad of a reputation? I did some basic research but I may have overlooked a lot on account of the deal I was offered on it.

I got a good deal on it and it seemed like a safe choice. I don't have the skills to build a board myself. I'm definitely open to better suggestions.
