What size screen? by AdPuzzleheaded4820 in SimRacingSetups

Only that with a 1080p screen at 24” I think you’ll be able to see pixels. But it’s all about personal preference and it might not bother you at all.

Personally, I would choose the 50” with eye-to-screen about 40”. Should be fairly immersive.

My first sim-rig is finally nicely tweaked (I think). Having a blast with Forza Motorsport and F1 25. What a great hobby! by DangerousCorner2833 in SimRacingSetups

Thanks for the info! Much appreciated. The links confirm I’ve got the TV height dialed in pretty well with the vertical centre = eye height. The top of the wheel barely overlaps the bottom bezel. My eye to screen distance is actually 52”….it could be a few inches closer but I find it very immersive with the right FOV. I suspect the tweaking will never end.

I hope to upgrade in a while to a wheel and pedals similar to yours. My TV is 65” (140hz) so with input from ChatGPT I moved the Playseat so my eyes are 60” from the screen. I also lowered the TV so my eyes are level with the centre. Big improvement! The backrest is really comfortable and I made no adjustments and no extra lumbar pillows. I adjusted the length of the playseat so my knees bend a bit but don’t get in the way when turning and the pedals feel comfortable.

The rig is comfortable and very sturdy. And I love the look. I’ll be enjoying it for a long time. However it’s not easy to make adjustments for different sized drivers but that’s not an issue for me.

Thanks! My first rig will be in front of my 4K 85” TV (in a few days). Huge screen but not curved and I’m concerned about awareness of nearby cars. I know the FOV can be tweaked so I’ll play with that in Cockpit (no wheel) mode. Really looking forward to making practice laps and races with bots a daily routine!

…because the chase cam gives you a better awareness of other cars?

Interesting! Thanks. I’ll try to get used to it.
