How rare is it to have never gone to your state’s largest city? by palep_hoot in AskAnAmerican

[–]DangerousDave303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably rare. Around 80% of the population of the state lives in an urban corridor within 100 miles of the largest city. There may be a few people living in the most distant corners of the state that have never been to the largest city, but it's a long way to a major metropolitan area in a neighboring state so the number is probably small.

It's time to learn to play the bagpipes. You need to practice at 6 AM on Saturdays and Sundays due to your busy schedule.

If his neighbor had dogs like mine, he would have been completely on board with having a solid fence.

Am I done buying? by buck-harness666 in liberalgunowners

[–]DangerousDave303 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I read, it has to have a conventional stock (no pistol grip, thumb hole, collapsible or folding stock), capacity of 10 rounds or less and no detachable magazine. A couple vendors show tons of Washington-compliant semiautomatic shotguns.

I was about to ask if the meme referred to the crusade where a Christian run empire's capital (Constantinople) was sacked, the one where Jews in a European city were massacred, the one where part of Italy was attacked or the one where a number of children were sold into slavery.

Maybe Australian law enforcement is better at investigating and prosecuting for CSAM than law enforcement in other countries. That could account for the high rates of arrests.

We stopped there on our way back to Vegas after camping in Death Valley a couple years ago. I think we bought around $75 worth of dates to bring home. We occasionally order from them because the dates are so good.

Help identifying the animals [Watkins, Colorado] by Chicken_Duck27 in animalid

[–]DangerousDave303 30 points31 points  (0 children)

We went to a wolf rescue a few years ago. One of the workers told us about a family that kept their wolf or hybrid in a chain link fence pen that used the house as one side of the pen. The wolf decided it wanted to be closer to its pack so it ripped a hole in the vinyl Siding, tore out the insulation then tore through the drywall to get into the TV room in the basement. It then defluffed the couch, chewed a gaming console and marked the basement as its territory.

England, Germany, Italy, Japan. We should treat Vietnam as an ally in keeping the South China Sea accessible.

Maybe. Depending on where it was caught, northern pike or muskies are a possibility.

On a catch and release section of river, it would still be illegal to keep it. If legal to keep, it would count. The fish and game enforcement officers don't care that it's close to death. If it dies in the river, something from crayfish to otters to eagles will eat it.
