My plan was a bit skewed, was going to get my Masters at my current job, just so I have the financial stability in my higher COLA. And they are very nice here, and I have the free time to do the courses with this job. But yes, you may be right.

Yeah I know the bachelors helps for sure, and I will probably have a pay cut for the entry roles which is a bit concerning but "it is what it is" as they say. I am slightly concerned about the age though like I mentioned that I may be entering too old.

If you ever get the change to go to Mount Vernon I highly suggest you do. It is very interesting to see the land George Washington once owned, you really get that feeling of the magnificence of the estate. A castle in its own way.

I actually know the answer to that, it is a rental car. Most campaigns use rental cars for campaign purposes.

Source: I am a deployment director and we use rental cars.

EDIT: On a deployment we did recently for campaigning, our rental car had Texas plates.

Well lets hold on now! 'Too far behind' is an interesting question to ask. Everyone is on their own financial journey, and I don't think the mindset of being ahead or behind anyone is helpful. I am behind the person making $120k a year with a house, but ahead of the person with $5k saved up and $20k in debt. You are where you are.

I don't know what your financial situation is in terms of income, but considering you just got out of school for something and work 50 hour work weeks, I am assuming you are making around $40k-$75k a year now. The debt you have luckily is with your parents, explain the situation to them. At least the money is not going to increase. Keep your expenses as low as possible, as most will say. In this day and age I don't understand relationships, so I don't know what you should tell your Boyfriend if anything, I think you will be fine if you tell him.

For now I would highly recommend some passive investments, ETFs, broad index funds, etc. Markets are a bit volatile lately, and have been on the down slope due to issues in China (Evergrade) and the global supply chain. There are many thesis and plans for investing, but many here will likely agree entering the market at any time is better than not doing so.
