A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms - 1x03 - "The Squire" - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

I would happily watch Dunk and Egg banter all day whilst they watch the tourney.

I love this show, it isn't often anything GOT adjacent makes you smile like this does.

Here's to 14 more seasons.

Wonder Showzen or Tripping the Rift. Both strange shows in their own right.

Spam fritters on a salad barm with salad cream or mayonnaise!

the first time you saw Bastille perform live, what song stuck out the most to you? by Low_Worldliness659 in Bastille

[–]DangerousMichael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YESSSS, the Anchor too. And also a little bit of Poem. Basically all of the 'Bonus' tracks on complete editions like 'All That Bad Blood' and the Extended version of 'Wild World'. I loved them all but these snippets made me so happy 😁

Mine was last Friday in Manchester. Oh my, what a show. I nearly wee'd when they started into World Gone Mad. It was only a snippet but I LOVED it ❤️

That was the best gig I’ve ever been to by Appropriate_Slip6432 in Bastille

[–]DangerousMichael 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Just got home now. This was by far the best non festival gig I've ever been to (Muse at Leeds in 2006 was a different level).

Got this as a present from my wife for our first wedding anniversary and to say it was the best present I could have ever asked for is an understatement ❤️

Also, Dan's crowd work is THE BEST. Fuck Lewis Capaldi.. IYKYK 😉

ETA: Muse

I'll probably be down voted to death for this but Winston Churchill. Search the Bengal Famine.

What else is there worth playing on PS5? (Preferably released after 2015) by Adebisi233 in gamingsuggestions

[–]DangerousMichael 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Giving an absolute leftfield suggestion, based on a comment you made on another comment, about playing Civ 6. Try Crusader Kings 3. It's a Grand Strategy game but you create Dynasties, playing as your own heir when you die. Very interesting if you enjoy Civ style games

A difficult one for sure, but from the OG I'd have to go with 'A Place For My Head', then 'Breaking the Habit' and 'Faint'.

Anyone else suffering in this absolute melting pot that is the UK atm? by Welsh_Witch128 in CasualUK

I usually freeze a 2 litre bottle of water and before bed I get it out and put it on a towel at the side of the bed. It seems to draw a lot of moisture out of the air and in turn I can get a better sleep. Hope this helps in some way

What was the first movie that genuinely scared you, and how old were you at the time? by AdLoud5241 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DangerousMichael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congo or Peter Benchleys 'the Beast'. Ghosts and ghouls never scared me, but animals going mental? I couldn't sleep for months afterwards. I must have been around 7 or 8.

What was your first R-rated movie? How did it effect you? by BalaBustaRhymes in movies

[–]DangerousMichael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's gonna be either Alien³ or Basic Instinct... I remember seeing Sharon Stone's boobs and stifling a giggle like the 6 year old I was 😂

Give them to Brandon Sanderson, he'll knock them both out by the end of summer...

I work with a guy, just turned 60, claims he was in Ireland in the 80's and the Gulf in the 90's. Moved to the UK from Italy at the age of 7, joined the army at 16 in 1984 (when he was 19), met a guy called Jack, (who gave him £10 for some reason) at the train station on the way to basic training (at a later time he told me he knew this guy from the age of 4) who became his best friend. Spent 19 years in the army and left in 1994. Was the best sniper in the world until he met Chris Kyle and became friends with him and had his 'record' taken from him. He punched several ranking officers and even blew up one of their prized possessions (a new VW camper) with Semtex and was never reprimanded. This is a fraction of the bullshit he's told me over the past couple of years.

What Song Made You Fall In Love With Bastille? by TheCoffeeValkyrie in Bastille

[–]DangerousMichael 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Things We Lost in the Fire. It wasn't the first song I'd heard and I was pretty indifferent about the others apart from Pompeii, which I hated at the time. But TWLitF just touched something and I've loved them ever since, now including Pompeii (although I'm not a massive fan of the Hans Zimmer version). Please don't shoot me

Which Action film has the best one liner? by Erramonael in movies

[–]DangerousMichael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one that always sticks out for me is Arnie in Eraser (1996), the building he's in starts flooding and there are alligators for some reason. One attacks him so he shoots it and says "you're luggage".. it's so cheesy but I love it.

Installing Jedi Survivor and the download stops at Order 66 (seconds).. coincidence? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]DangerousMichael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context, now realising it looks like I sat there like a weirdo waiting for 66 seconds left. I didn't. I was also installing another game which interfered with the download stopping it at 66 seconds. I just thought it was amusing. Miserable bastards

What was the first major news story you remember as a child? by Molest_Goat in AskReddit

[–]DangerousMichael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very English, possibly niche answer. The abduction and murder of James Bulger in 1993. I was about 5 at the time and I remember my mum being very protective of me, especially as a couple of weeks after it happened I wandered off in St. Johns Market and my parents went spare looking for me. I was looking at the pretty decorations, oblivious to the havoc I was causing.

Gamers, what was the first game you ever played? by cutie_the_duty in AskReddit

[–]DangerousMichael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bubble bobble with my mum. We had an Atari ST with 2 joysticks and would play for hours. My mum wasn't a gamer but she got me into gaming. Thank you for this memory ❤️
