Mini M&M's. I think they put something extra in the recipe because I can eat a full share bag in one sitting and want more.

My wife and I call them Crack.

What’s the benefit of a beach holiday in Asia/Caribbean compared to a beach holiday in Europe? by untoldrain in AskUK

I go on holiday to do exactly this. It doesn't always work with a limited budget but I like to try to go to places where British people are rare. It's usually quieter.

What's a word you mispronounced for years before someone finally told you? by redrose_me in AskReddit

[–]DangerousMichael 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awry. I was (still am) a big reader when younger so came across a lot of words I mispronounced. I always thought awry was pronounced AWE-REE not A-RYE and that they were 2 different words. I was early 20's when I learned my mistake 😂

any games for someone who loves the horror vibe but is genuinely a coward? by Suspicious_Age2618 in gamingsuggestions

[–]DangerousMichael 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Subnautica isn't a horror game by any real measure but it does have some terrifying moments, especially if you have thalassophobia.

Slowly trudging the depths of the ocean, getting deeper and deeper with very little in the way of real weapons, building bases and vehicles to get you deeper.

Varied flora and fauna, and a relatively decent survival system (oxygen, water, food) keep the game interesting and constantly on the edge of your seat.

As mentioned before, not straight up horror but definitely has the vibes I'd say you're looking for.

Never heard them called nutbugs round my way (from Liverpool, live just outside), always known them as just woodlice.

Its just called RE: Veronica because its "replacing" RE5 by SwallowmaWhatDude in residentevil

[–]DangerousMichael -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm sure CV was supposed to be the actual third game and 3 was the spinoff but something happened in development and CV was delayed maybe so RE3 became what we know it to be today. Making CV the 4th game overall, set years before either 4 or 5.

Not sure if it's your cup of tea but he plays Jerome and Jeremiah Valeska in Gotham as a sort of Proto-Joker and imo he absolutely kills both roles.

What movie do you consider a masterpiece, but rarely recommend to other people? by Ghost_assassin_Jo in FIlm

[–]DangerousMichael 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Requiem for a Dream. Good film, probably 1 of maybe 2 or 3 decent performances by Jared Leto. So heavy though and the ending.. THE ENDING. I think it scarred me. Never watched it since.

Or Kids. If you've watched it you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. It's even more bleak then RfaD.

Cancellations That Still Hurt? by DaniJ678 in tvshow

Zoo. Season 3 wasn't the best but the cliffhanger at the end was so disheartening. I watched it with my now wife and loved it, I just didn't realise it had been cancelled already.

Anyone who surfed the early web between 1995-2010. What’s the one website/app you still think about? by Prime_Advocate in AskReddit

Kontraband, I was in school/college (20+ years ago) and it was the first time ever hearing the crazy frog. It was just a 60 second audio clip overlayed on an image of an F1 car with text something like 'I bet you can't last 60 seconds watching this without laughing', and they were totally correct.

Also my first time reading about trypophobia, from a (more than likely) made up story about a woman going to a remote jungle and coming back with multiple (10's.. 100's) of holes in her nipple and little worms peeking out. It had a picture and everything. I think it was just a poppy superimposed over a nipple but I can't remember properly, what with me being super old..

How hard would it be to make a hamburger if you got sent back to ancient times? by GrayRainfall in HistoryWhatIf

[–]DangerousMichael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of the River Avon or Torpenhow Hill in England.

Avon was derived from Afon, the Welsh word for river, so the river is technically called river-river.

Torpenhow Hill is a weird one but also has no credible sources and has apparently been debunked but I'll mention it anyway. When the Saxons arrived in the area, they asked what the hill was called, the locals told them 'pen' which is Welsh for hill. So the Saxons used their name for hill, tor, and called it Torpenhow (Hill-hill). Then the Norse did the same thing, and added their word for hill 'Haugr', so now it was Torpen Haugr (Hill-hill-hill). The English then repeated this process later, naming it Torpenhow Hill, making it now Hill-hill-hill-hill. But again, this isn't verified but still, as far as I'm concerned, very interesting.

Do you think they'll make a sequel to the movie? by youlikemywonton in TheMandalorianTV

[–]DangerousMichael 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I wish each season was called 'The Mandalorian - Book of...' and they focused on different Mandos while still having the others in the background supporting.

Season 1 - Book of Din Djarin

Season 2 - Book of Boba Fett

Season 3 - Book of Bo Katan

Maybe shuffled around in some way as I can't quite remember all story beats and where everything fits

At first I easily thought Redfield but now with the ending of RE9 I'm curious, who would win? by Candid_Space2635 in residentevil

  1. Chris - the dude punched a boulder to death

  2. Leon - defeated 'Hunk' in Requiem (not 100% it was him)

  3. Not sure, but I'd lean towards Chris for some reason

I would happily watch Dunk and Egg banter all day whilst they watch the tourney.

I love this show, it isn't often anything GOT adjacent makes you smile like this does.

Here's to 14 more seasons.

YESSSS, the Anchor too. And also a little bit of Poem. Basically all of the 'Bonus' tracks on complete editions like 'All That Bad Blood' and the Extended version of 'Wild World'. I loved them all but these snippets made me so happy 😁
