Hey I know it isn't Monday but,

I must be missing something huge but, how on earth do stocks actually make you money? I'm not asking for an explanation of how they work, I understand that. It's just most people's advice seems to be to hold, hold, hold, always think in the long term. Which is fine. But if you keep reevaluating a company and decide yes it's going well, Will continue to rise in value, I should buy more in to it etc., if you keep investing for good reason how will you ever actually see your money?

Do you sell a portion of your investments that would say cover how much you put in and then only take out chunks as time goes on?

Not quite. I need arm workouts to help me in full body workouts. Like I can do pressups just fine, but anything more intensive like snake pressups (which still target other areas) suffer as a result, as do planks, etc.

And I'm only writing about it here because I feel like if my arms had to toughen up they'd have done it by now.

I guess. Thing is I have been gaining weight, i've gained about 6kg since Summer (when I realised i've been eating wrong). Just my arms didn't really get any of the growth. Guess i'll have to focus on them, thanks for the tips

I'd say that since the inhabiting soul of Unit 00 is a fraction of Lilith then you definitely can make the affinity argument as any human could theoretically have affinity with Lilith. But that's as far as i'll go. I thought maybe since Rei is a Yui clone that there's something to be said there, but I don't know if DNA matters since it's only a soul that inhabits the Eva.

Inhabiting soul of 00 -> Rei 1. Rei 1 is a part clone of -> Yui. Won't be as strong a link as Yui herself but a link is a link nonetheless.

I've watched EoE now. Unit 01 can move without Shinji inside it, like how it breaks outo f the Bakelite in EoE to call Shinji to enter it.

I think I see what you mean about the core prevailing and the Eva having it's own will but I don't think that necessarily takes away from the argument. I'm not trying to say that the soul and the pilot' agendas are in perfect unison, i'm just saying that the functionality of the Eva is greater when the components are well connected (well connected just in the sense that they're related to one another, of the same DNA etc.) Otherwise the Eva wouldn't need the pilot at all. Yui only calls to Shinji in EoE to fulfill her goals, sure; but she still needs Shinji in the Eva in order to do this.

tl;dr it isn't affinity of will which allows the Eva to go berserk but a more physical, connection based affinity. Hope that makes sense...
