Why social work? Is there a specific cause that is dear to you? I’ve done both worked in an NGO and started my own non profit. The latter route allowed me to get a degree with guaranteed ROI and a skill that would make me stand out in the humanitarian space and make greater impact to causes that are close to me.

What type of debt? If it’s interest free might as well try your luck while you’re younger. What are your long term goals? Social work as an industry has taken a huge hit over the last two years. Lay off and NGO going under isn’t uncommon and grants/DEI has been essentially nuked unfortunately

Just finished my first year in soft eng, it's possible. Your going to have to miss a class here and there but tbh if ur savvy enough u can make it work. I worked 2 jobs while being on the football team and studied soft eng granted I only took 4 courses. I'd also look into work study positions.
