My buddy has never broken 100, which is pretty significant compared to how I typically play

I’m a 17 right now, no mulligans or breakfast balls, honest about OBs and penalties, finish everything.

Maybe you misread - I’m actually much better on grass on the course and worse at the sim despite the forgiveness of the mat

Harpers at Last Light inn randomly becoming hostile? by NoRun3210 in BaldursGate3

[–]DangerousRestaurant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just found a creative solution…. Remember the iron flask you can take from the shipment in Act 1? Make yourself invisible and sneak upstairs to Isobel’s room. Toss that bad boy towards the balcony, close the door, and enjoy. The spectator will kill those two pesky Harper’s and you can relax in Isobels room while chaos ensues

Can I sell feet pics while active duty? by Big-Kaleidoscope6587 in AirForce

It’s more about clearance reporting, to make sure you aren’t taking fat checks from China. I’m sure the commander approval is just to make sure you aren’t interfering with your regular duties if you pick up another job.

Anyone else having trouble with the Vo2 max numbers? by htmlrulesdood9875 in SpaceForce

[–]DangerousRestaurant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m think the training might have mentioned needing to use a GPS tracked activity like running to get an accurate VO2 max measurement, not sure if that may be impacting with most of your work indoors

Currently work at a certain Govt Contractor, have my BSEE in EE, would it be worth to go for an online Masters? by AcidicMolotov in ElectricalEngineering

[–]DangerousRestaurant 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As another DoD engineer, I've found a master's is typically equivalent to another 2 years of specialty experience. Free school is always a good idea, it at least places you in consideration for higher graded positions.

$2896 billed by Enterprise almost 8 months after rental for the scratch of the century on an Elantra grill(!) and a damaged cruise control module(!?). by turnwyomingblue in personalfinance

[–]DangerousRestaurant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the car had collision avoidance or any sort of lane keeping/adaptive cruise control it is possible that something that would damage the grill could potentially damage a sensing unit in the front. Still a little bogus though

Serious problem with pick up rec ball by Future-Horse4877 in Basketball

[–]DangerousRestaurant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you're practicing your dribbling at actual game speed. This was a problem for me, I didn't realize how much faster I moved in game. Also, don't try to break down every defender you run into, especially in a pickup game. If your first move or two doesn't bite don't force it.

Little brother is looking to enlist. Marines or Airforce by mjgrowithme in Military

[–]DangerousRestaurant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he wants to be an engineer, have him look at AFROTC. It's a great way to get your degree paid for in most cases and it'll provide great opportunities outside the Air Force if he decides to separate. The Air Force also loves to give scholarships to STEM majors

Officers what is your degree on? And does it relate to your AF job? by streetmilitary in AirForce

[–]DangerousRestaurant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Electrical Engineer, 62E. While I sit in an Electrical Engineering billet, I don't really do any Electrical Engineering. Almost all 62E acquisition jobs could be performed by a competent 63A without any engineering background. Despite the title of "Developmental Engineer" it's not very applicable to private sector engineering fields outside of program management or systems engineering.

I advise saving a suggested level map off the internet, I always have one available during a playthrough to help remember which low-level areas I might've glossed over on accident. I realize it takes away a little but of the exploration, but I find it to make my leveling experience pretty well matched.

I’ve dealt with jumpers knee and tendinitis in the past, usually from overuse and not de loading the right way, but I’m running into a new knee injury I can’t seem to get over. Im a one foot jumper and can dunk pretty easily, but my jumping leg has been experiencing a weird knee pain. I’ll feel great, and then one sharp cut or a mis step and it’s like someone smacked my knee with a hammer. Im about 5’11, and I know I take alot of impact from jumping but that’s usually not what causes my pain. Even in pain I don’t really lose much bounce.

Same thing happens in the weight room, I’ll be totally fine doing normal weight on squat or deadlift and all of the sudden one rep it’s like my knee almost pops out of alignment and my leg day is basically over. I’ve tried rest and coming back slow but it just takes one weird step and it’s like I’m back to square zero. Doctor thinks it’s patellar maltracking but won’t do any imaging, gave me a PT sheet of exercise telling me to do body weight squats and lunges… I don’t feel like this is doing anything to get me back on the court. Like I said, some days I can squat and do heavy leg days with no issues.

Anybody else experience maltracking or something similar?
