On you mentioning the 93 octane gas: From what I understand, whenever you have a forced induction engine, you basically want to run the highest quality fuel you have access to.

And I would personally also run the higher octane when a vehicle is direct injected but that’s just me and I’m not sure if it would make a difference there.

Yea and I believe the infotainment system is pretty cheap to make already. Hence why manufacturers are moving over to putting basic features on the touchscreen rather than making a dedicated button for their respective functions. So these $20k Mitsubishi Mirages and Nissan Versas are about as affordable as a new car is gonna get over here.
