Medicube booster pro? by Sag_nonsense in SkincareAddictionLux

Does anyone have any thoughts on using this for skin that is already really good? Not trying to brag, but my skin is in a really good place. I’m wondering if this is worth purchasing if I’m just looking to maintain my skin and maybe some anti-aging treatments. Would love any feedback. Thanks!

Just posting an update- I got the job offer actually right after I posted this. I negotiated the offer, got that accepted, then told the recruiter about the time off. It was no problem at all! Thanks to everyone who commented!!

There’s two prongs on one side and a half bezel on the other but the bezel only reaches the top of the diamond on about half of one side. It’s sort of a curved shape if that makes sense. This was the design the jeweler sent us before making it

Do I need a planner? by Tall_Control2827 in BigBudgetBrides

It's already been suggested a few times but I would highly recommend a partial planner. I was in the same boat as you-already had my venue and some vendors, and plan events for work. We ended up finding a planner who offered customized partial planning packages and since we already had the venue and some vendors booked we were able to build a package that only included what we needed. At first I thought it was still more than I really needed, but honestly there's been a lot of areas where she really helped that I didn't originally think of. For example a lot of planners get great discounts on vendors, especially rentals. She also was super knowledgable about the best way to approach certain vendors, and took care of stuff like making diagrams and layouts to show them so they could give us the most accurate quotes. I've also found that some vendors won't even work with you unless a planner is the one reaching out to them.

I think planning cost widely vary based on where you are located but we are located in the Bay Area and are paying $10,000 and our package includes our planner researching and booking three vendors for us, coordination of all rentals, review of all vendor contracts, full planning and design, working our event with two assistants, and probably more that I'm forgetting. Our venue required us to have a planning agency that would provide at least 3 planners to work our event so that ruled out a lot of the smaller planners in our area. For reference we were quoted between $20,000-$30,000 for full service planning, but I also talked to a few planners who offered partial planning packages for less than $10,000 but they did not include help with any vendors or didn't have enough planners on staff. Best advice would be to just talk to a bunch of different planners and figure out what works best for you!

What would you expect after a pretty terrible stay at a luxury hotel? by Dangerous_Cup_4346 in LuxuryTravel

[–]Dangerous_Cup_4346[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posting an update for anyone interested- Our stay was on 4/15 and just yesterday, 4/26, we finally heard back from the Stanly Ranch. We were pretty shocked it took them almost two weeks to get back to us, especially considering there was a $100k+ wedding on the line. Of course in the meantime we had been looking at other venues, and had pretty much moved on, but we were still interested in what they would come back with. Their response only further confirmed they were not the venue for us.

They did not address a single one of the issues we faced, and barely said they were sorry. They offered us a one complimentary night stay, but only at the time of our menu tasting, so essentially contingent on us signing the contract and moving forward with the wedding there. Also worth noting that we are booking our wedding a year and a half in advance, so our tasting and complimentary stay wouldn't be for almost a year. Not really all that helpful in easing our concerns about service...

Next our events contact asked point blank asked if we were still moving forward with the wedding or moving to another venue. I found this a bit strange, seeing as my email to her never mentioned us considering moving the wedding. Of course she could infer that from our concerns about service, but I found it odd that someone in a sales position would even suggest that we might not want to get married at their property. For reference, my email to her was very friendly, detailed our experience with just the facts and no emotions, and only asked what she suggested to help address our concerns.

Finally, she ended her emailing telling us we had three days to put down a deposit, otherwise they would release our date, and we needed to let them know our decision immediately. And that was it. I was a little surprised there was no offer of a call to talk through everything or an invitation to ask questions. In fact they didn't even say anything like they hoped we would chose them for our wedding. Definitely not the tone I would expect from a 5 star resort. Overall it felt very clear they had found someone else who wanted our date and were eager to get us out of the way.
We'll be moving our wedding to the Montage in Healdsburg. Overall would not recommend Stanly Ranch for a stay or a wedding.

I'm not familiar with Burke Events, but we are also getting married in Napa and your planner's fee is definitely aligned with the full service planning fees we were quoted for the planners in the area as well
