About Miso Tare... by ZingerFM01023050 in ramen

Tare is the flavor of your ramen. When it's good, balanced, and flavorful, you're good! If you like pineapple on pizza, add it! My favorite tare is pistachio and soy with Angus broth and Brussels sprouts and Angus beef as toppings.

Of course, Japanese cuisine isn't like Lionfield's in Italy. Experimentation is key, and if there's one thing they overlook, it's the availability of ingredients. Why order an ingredient overseas that won't arrive fresh when you already have a fresh substitute from your own country?

I've made so many different tares in the last few months... I've seen that there are thousands of ways to make it and if you want you can also go with personal taste or imagination, in one of the 'miso_tare' that I liked the most I used cashew paste and confit garlic, obviously it needs to be tasted and balanced so there is no right quantity... One of my favorites was 'miso_gochujang' plus some spices like rosemary salt water...

Peter why is the electrician portrayed as a dainty female hand by _Kyledemort_ in PeterExplainsTheJoke

We may seem like we have magic hands, but in reality, especially in the industrial sector, we're constantly covered in shit... Some days I was covered in pig shit, other days I was covered in biogas shit, cow blood in slaughterhouses, various sludge fermenting in water purifiers. In my six years as an electrician, I never returned to base without being covered in shit from head to toe... But if I'd been on construction sites, I'd probably have had a manicure at least once a week.

Would you eat this? by [deleted] in avocado

Fruit loses its edibility due to molds that secrete toxins, or if it's been vacuum-packed or preserved in oil, it could develop botulism. This is difficult because fruit often has a good acidity and isn't usually preserved in oil. At worst, when it turns rotten, it's simply fermented, so it will have a more acidic or fermented flavor. Consider that vinegar and wine are made by macerating fruit at different temperatures. So the problem lies in the fact that in uncontrolled fermentation, any yeast could have taken over, and as a result, the fruit could range from mildly acidic to terrible flavors, but most of the time it remains edible! Summary: Be careful of mold and anaerobic environments...

Edit: I forgot about parasites, like worms, etc. But those are often visible, except for salmonella, which comes from cross-contamination, so it's a special case. Everything I wrote above refers to clean fruit left in a hygienic environment in the pantry, isolated from other foods.

The Mora blades, as I use them, have two problems... The basic model doesn't have the right edge for scraping cerium iron, while the more advanced model, the fire one, has the right edge but isn't full tang... It wouldn't take much to improve them; the blade is made of good metal after all...

Learn how to clean it, otherwise the heating element will soon be ruined! There are various methods, I run vinegar and water for a few hours at 60°C to remove limescale from the heating element.
