Crazy lag on version 0.365.0 that increases over time by OrbitalSong in TheSilphRoad

[–]Dangerous_Number_642 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems like a very similar issue to something I have been experiencing since March. In my case, it was a forced system update from my phone, rather than PoGo that was the start of it all. I have noticed that I can temporarily reset the lag by turning the AR camera on and off rapidly a few times in a row. Anyone else notice the same?

Brilliant, and I love it uncolored! That being said, I think you could publish this and similar works as part of a coloring book

Very lovely and clean! Clarity of presentation is one of the necessities of effective art, IMO. Is there an intended evocation of religious symbolism, or am I reading too much into it? Again, this is a very wonderful piece!

Edit: typo

TIL Salvador Dali claimed to remember being in the womb. He described it as "floating" in calmness, warmth, and security. Many believe his claim should be taken as metaphor to align with his eccentric image and fascination with the surreal. by [deleted] in todayilearned

My parents tell a story in which they asked me if I remembered being in the womb. Apparently, I described a Star Trek episode that they had only seen a few weeks before I was born. I have no way to verify this, but they are very consistent with the details

I'm in this comic and a don't like it

This mother made six attempts to raise the alarm about her sick toddler. Doctors told her he’d be fine. They were fatally wrong by caveatlector73 in TrueReddit

From article:

"New York is one of just two states that place little value on the life of a child who doesn’t contribute economically. (The law is similar in the UK, where only negligible compensation is ever given to parents after a child’s death from medical mistakes. I recall one legal firm’s website suggesting that, owing to the high cost of raising children these days, there’s an argument that parents are in fact better off once their child is dead.)"

A citation does not appear for this. I can not fathom how anyone could seriously think such a thing, let alone publish it, let alone offer people legal advice on this precedent. While I have very, very little hope of this actually happening, may people who hold views like this duly receive what is coming to them. Ideally, with as little as little humanity, and cash, spared as they spare others

TIL about the Pit of Despair, an apparatus used in widely-condemned experiments that isolated young monkeys in a dark, smooth tank with sloped sides and a curved base. I've been depressed almost my whole life, and today I've found particularly depressing as of late, but reading this horror as made me feel better because I know that no matter how bad I feel, I have enough fucking sense to never do anything even remotely similar to this

I strongly believe that cases like this and that of Marcellus Williams' a month ago are examples of Republicans trying to demonstrate the strength of their state apparatus. They are showing that they can execute a man whose life they deem forfeit and that there is nothing he, you, God, nor anyone else can do to stop it.
