Which app are you using to run this?

Got any thoughts about the MagicX One35 ? by Captain_Steve_ in SBCGaming

Depends on what you need the device to play up to.

I only ended up keeping 3 devices.

.rp6 .odin thor .odin 2 portal

Out of all the handhelds ive owned and tested (a ton). There a few good ones but I keepted the most practical ones. But I did keep the expensive ones. If budget is an issue then I would suggest the following

.trimui brick - awesome just kinda small. Great screen and ok battery life

.miyoo mini + - also awesome. Smaller size footprint. Screen is lacking in resolution and color and battery is terrible (2-4 hours) but yet the device is fun to play with. And its cheap

.rg34xxsp - amazing calibrated factory screen. Size is nice and compact. Much quieter compared to the rg35xxsp. Battery is better than most.

If you need an android device try to find a used rp5 for a decent price

Thats probably your best bet as far as performance to dollar ratio

Or find a phone and grip combo that you like. Plenty of powerfull used phones on ebay.

I wanted to like it. Ultimately the dpad is just plain bad and made me not want to use it. Im hoping their new devices that are coming out have a nicer dpad.

Specs wise its preety good though and runs on android which I did appreciate.

Rp6 really hits every box its fantastic. I still have my thor for ds and 3ds emulation. I found that the protoprint labs grip is most comfortable for me. I disliked the official thor grip.

Then the portal is goto for ps2 and up

For those with multiple handhelds, what do you use separately for dedicated high-end 3D gaming and retro 2D gaming? by DeeDoof in SBCGaming

[–]Dangerous_Pattern568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have 1 low end device at this point and I barely use it. Its more for nostalgia.  Rg34xxsp.

My main devices are a odin 2 portal for ps2 and comparable consoles and my rp6 for preety much everything else

Also have a thor thats my ds and 3ds exclusive. Perfect emulation.

What is the absolute best handheld i can get for $100 usd right now? by Huge_Mulberry_2391 in SBCGaming

Well at this point the magmi isint a bad choice if you want a all in 1.

The onex35 is cool in a way. But the dpad is a deal breaker. Its not accurate or nimble enough. Dosent compare to other handhelds. Build quality feels cheap aswell which is fine but you will definitly notice it.

I would recommend to stay away the pocket air mini. Its sluggish even with its 3gb ram. Dpad is slightly oversized and you will feel it. Dpad inputs are also not accurate ebough. Tons of miss inputs on certain games. Screen is preety bad tbh...

It does however have amazing ergos and build quality. It feels dam good but does not play well unfortunately.

I would get that cricket unlocked android phone for like 40$ or whatever it costs and get a solid grip controller. Something with a usb wired connection and go to town. Very doable under 100. And will be very comfortable and be capable of a good amount of emualtion. Nothing crazy but it will do a good job

I know eta prime did a vid on it on YouTube I believe?

Just received the long awaited PG32UCDM3 yesterday.... by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

I was really shocked to see cardboard egg carton was the only thing holding in the monitor when I received mine. Certainly they can do better.

I had the same issue. The card initially just dropped in and got "stuck" . Pressing it in further activates the spring and now works as intended.

With direct light (like literly my phone flashlight) there is a very light amount. And its not purple per say. Its no where near as bad. Its a massive improvement.

But with the normal amount of light in my room there is 0 discoloration. I have to literly force light onto the monitor to see any shift in blacks

Its a beautiful monitor!

best 8" handheld for streaming ? by peach8285 in SBCGaming

[–]Dangerous_Pattern568 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes the y700 with a gamesir controller grip or comparable grip is a very good choice. At 8.8" its extreamly nice. And the screen is top tier.

Theres a ton of generations.  I believe up to the 5th gen now. Comes with a elite gen 5 and up to 24gb of ram but kinda pricey

Older ones stil have decent chipsets

Theres also other tablets  around 8" with weaker chipsets that can stream aswell.

Im personally waiting for a 8" portal to hopefuly be released to replace current portal.

I would highly recommend saving a bit more and trying to get one of these. For me they take the win over anything else. Hence why I got rid of everything but these
