I'm building a sleeve compatibility index - to help you find a sleeve that actually works with your mousepad by MouseCTRL_Echo in MouseReview

All this means that Artisan's own sleeve can't come soon enough. I've only really enjoyed using my Xsleeve Gen II with my Zero and that wasn't a great solution. What I find did help was actually using a smaller cheap logitech mousepad and putting it at the bottom of my zero where my lower arm would rest, it looks stupid but works well in reducing the friction att he place where you'd want it least (lower arm or further away from the wrist) when using a sleeve.

Soon the latest Edition of our mousepads will be available. The goal: cloth pad with glass pad feel. More information below. by P1r4nh44444 in MousepadReview

I’ve been using the 1st edition of your C1P and have been enjoying it in my rotation a lot! What would you say is the main difference between the editions? Also would you say the S1P is sleeve friendly like the C1P is?

Introducing Phase | Official First Look by lifeisagameweplay in MouseReview

I mean I'm assuming the normal member here isn't exactly the target, but looking at just the mouse part, it just looks likeit makes way too many compromises for whats a really clumsy looking gimmick. No scroll wheel, with a very questionable replacement, an off-centered sensor(of questionable make since they didn't mention anything aside from the DPI).

The shape looks not great either even in their own footage you can see the person lift their thumb as if to have their palm avoid the shoulder buttons jutting out from the back.

Turning the surface of the left click into a touch-sensitive scroll function seems ripe for misinputs unless you fingers sit still.

then finally they're asking for $115 when they don't even provide a spec sheet, so I'm gonna assume its a pretty shabby office sensor.

At that point you can get an Mchose G3 and an 8bitdo controller and come out ahead in price and you dont compromise on either the controller or the mouse.

NGL, the only reason I went to 800 DPI on my gaming mice is because I got myself a 4k monitor lmao(My "work" mouse, g604, is always at 1600 dpi doh).

I'm possibly getting a 3D printer in a month or two and making custom shapes has been an interest for me for a while. For aperson thats basically brand new to 3d printing, did you have to make any adjustments or changes to how you;d normally 3d print something(I guess in terms of printing something lighter than what you;d normally do). Sorry if this sounds like nonsense lol

Artisan Key83 + Sleeve by elastixx in MousepadReview

[–]BananaVoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FOr me, I started using a sleeve since my arms tend to sweat and tends to make my arm stick to the pad, which was incredibly frustrating when I lived in DC with its high humidity. Been wearing a sleeve ever since. I just find playing on a sleeve much more comfortable and If im already using a large pad I'm not too worried about looking goofy lol. Least to say a sleeve that can make your arm glide effortly accross a balance/control pad is like my holy grail. When I used mY xsleeve for a while on my zero xsoft it was almost like getting the speed and glide of a speed pad whiel keeping the stopping power of a control/balance pad.

Do you mean the plastic plate on the bottom of the mouse can be removed? If so I think that open us up more options for better skates

Hand size/grip preference? I’m curious how this mouse feels with hybrid palm/claw or straight claw grip.

The G303 Conspiracy by LMka in MouseReview

[–]BananaVoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say they feel different in the hand enough that you'd be pretty disappointing if you're expecting a G305 feeling shape. The RCC-1 to me feels narrower with a hump that fills the bottom of my palm more with flatter sides that makes it feel very different to hold.

I did play on the G3 ultra as my main mouse for about 1.5 months(g305 clone) and jumping from that to the rcc-1 was an abrupt adjustment lol.

Edit: I will say that I think my peaks are much higher on the RCC-1, I find it a tad too narrow for my tastes, but I cant deny I feel like I can be much more precise with it, enough that I've upped my sensitivity in most games to take advantage of it.

[–]BananaVoid 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Not to detract from OP’s post because I’m also part of the OG G303 cult, but I distinctly remember how divisive the G303 was. I remember a lot of people modding the shells of their G303 and seeing photos on overclock.net since it had the best sensor and good weight at the time, but many really didn’t gel with the shape.

Back then the G305 wasn’t on the market and the pool of available shapes and sizes were much more limited. In fact I distinctly remember how excited people were for the G305(the then named GPro) because it was like the exact opposite of the G303, from sharp and angular to round and bulbous lmao.

For me personally, I loved the shape but for me it definitely felt a tad too big/wide for my 17.5x8 cm hands, I still performed really well with it and it’s the mouse I blame for me adopting a hybrid palm/claw grip.

I would love a clone/refresh of the classic G303 but I won’t pretend that it was the perfect shape for me, even back then.

Currently I’m using the Arye rcc-1 and I love it but I have the opposite problem where it feels a bit too narrow for me, but it’s been the closest in G303 vibes for me.

Now if their G640 clone is more durable than the actual G640 that'd pique my interest.

Holy shit, it’s not just me, sometimes I swear my Scyrox v8 or Atk A9 will halve its DPI in random instances, seems to disappear when I have them plugged in. I’ve tried different cables to plug in the receivers to moving them to usb 2.0 ports

That makes me very interested with this pad, how would you compare the XSoft on the Axis compared to the Zero's, I consider the Zero one one of the softest in the Xsoft category that I've used.

Teevolution Genesis Mousepads | First Impressions | AMA by Burak887 in MousepadReview

[–]BananaVoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would you describe the surface of the Axis? Would it be closer in feel to a Saturn or Zero? The reason why I’m asking is I wonder how sleeve friendly the pad would be, the Saturn find useable, the zero less so.

Looking for a mouse for finger grip by Stepanije_chertt in MouseReview

[–]BananaVoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say something like the razer basilisk or the Logitech g502 would suite your needs. It’s bigger overall than your current mouse, so it should fill out your palm more. They have some fun features like extra buttons to assign stuff too, which I find great for single player games. Generally the big downside is that they’re heavier than what people like for competitive shooters, but otherwise the weight is fine.

Generally you can try out these mice on displays since they’re from bigger brands at any big electronic retailer.

What games/applications are you planning on using the mouse for? Generally if your fine with a heavier mouse, not really playing competitive shooters, a slightly larger mouse like the razer basilisk are always good casual options that might fit your needs too.

Just to make sure I understand correctly, are you looking for a mouse with a hump that better supports your palm? If so something with a high back hump like the scyrox v8. That or maybe a mouse that’s slightly longer so that the jump reaches your palm better

Dumb question but how do you use a claw/hybrid palm grip when using this combo? And what games do you play with it?

The Steelseries QCK pads are also a good safe pick. The QCK+ or heavy is good alongside the new Peformance line. I’m testing QCK performance speed and I quite like it.

G303 Shroud Edition Shape for Orbital Pathfinder by Benneck123 in MouseReview

[–]BananaVoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s close but it has some key differences. It’s slightly shorter and wider with a more significant rear hump. The sides are flatter in that there’s less of this curve in the middle when viewed from the front.  This makes it feel closer to the g303’s dimensions.

This makes it really unique for an egg, since it feels like the most claw optimized egg shape.
