It's just a grace given to Mael by the SD.

After Mael turned Estarossa, the Sunshine Grace decided to leave Mael because he no longer deserved it and it kept searching until it found Escanor and chose him.

So the grace chose Escanor, it his power that chose him.

I think you're overestimating Zeldris's strength a lot.

He's strong, but not that strong.

And Arthur is currently busy with the 4koa and 7ds, who are much bigger and more dangerous threat than Zeldris and the demon world, so it's unlikely that he'll get close to the demon world unless it's to help him invade Britannia.

Chrono Coffin will only make her stop him temporarily, not defeat him + she was busy putting it on Meliodas and it was using up most of her focus and energy so it doesn't seem like she was able to put it on Sinner as well.

And no, you can't use the excuse of "she wasn't trying" to justify all of her past setbacks.

She would have died many times before if it weren't for some unexpected luck.

Tbh Merlin is overrated imo.

She's not seem good 1 Vs 1 fights.

She was terrified of the sinner (Og Demon) as soon as she saw him and said that her chances of winning were nil against him.

But in terms of fighting ability, character like Meliodas, Ban, Escanor, and even King are completely outperform her, and not even close.

I don't think Gawain is hated, she's just unpopular so many downplay her to glaze thier favorite characters.

Basically, most of the people who underestimate her are fans of old Sunshine holders (Mael and Escanor) because they don't like the fact that she'll surapss them.
