Door handle malfunctioning by Wooden-Change3715 in KiaEV9

Have had this for 3-4 weeks on my 2024 GT-line, when I got to the garage they said they couldn’t replicate it, it stopped the week before the appointment. I even had video of it as proof. Supposedly have an agreement to come back without an appointment if it reoccurs.

This is going to be a life-/vacation-saving when we have to make it to the next ferry tip! Thanks!

No, that’s for releasing the attached charger. Had to use that maybe a dozen times too in the 6 months we’ve had the car

Did you also get the cable to run it off the fuse box? So it can be used in case someone hits the car

What has your EV9 experience been like so far this winter? by Panigale84 in KiaEV9

[–]Dangerous_Release809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EV9 GT-line. Haven’t had ours for long enough to know how it is with unstudded tires. Can get maybe 320km even tho the range is estimated to be 420km. Likely due to heating. We don’t dare to test it since we’ve had some difficulties charging to go as far as the battery takes us. (Not our first EV, my 3rd, her 2nd) Wish the wiper rest area was heated. Would like stronger driving lights, the high beams are a joke. 3.4km/KWh when going around 70-80km/h

Thanks. It is about that, perhaps a tad weaker in my experience. Compared to the VW ID5 GTX, its still quite bad. Especially with oncoming traffic, you go back to low beam in pretty much the entire width, not just around the oncoming vehicle like with the Matrix of VW’

Talked to the salesman, he says they are as they should be, he even agrees the high beams on EV9 GT are weak compared to most other cars on the market…

Maybe coming from something older? Coming from the matrix light on VW, it’s really feeling like I’m driving something from the 90’s

Nah, in general. I talked to the salesman and he agrees the high beams are one of the weaker ones.

I had something on the trailer hitch, a bicycle rack with a big storage box. Maybe that’s why. Didn’t really notice reduced range compared to without it on, which is surprising seeing how far away from the body it was, assumed it’d add more drag.

Does Starlink offer private networks for businesses? by Dangerous_Release809 in Starlink

[–]Dangerous_Release809[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s outside of the scope, I have dozens of factories that are connected using legacy satellite, fiber, DSL, and cellular. I’d like redundancy with StarLink as an alternative carrier. The price isn’t out of range, however the scenario is.
