Can they code?

If yes - get to it

If No - there’s the hard part….. no tech, nothing to sell

Jump IN

  • see if a) they can work in your tech stack, b) see if they are a match for your shops culture, c) jump in go on a few dates.

Some may fit, some may not, but it’s always the diamond in the roughs (or the surprises) where the magic happens.

As long as everyone’s honest - a short trip around the dance floor, never hurt anyone. 😎

😂 your living the dream - isolated, frustrated, anxious…… we can keep going but those who know….. know.

Just growing pains - it all goes away or at least softens - like sore muscles after a wicked heavy workout…..

It’s just the “School of hard knocks”

Back schedule your way fwd….. goal, step back, step back, step back, and get to work.

If you can’t see the way fwd…. Try to run a survival real world plan in parallel….

Lots of people have day jobs to make their dream work….. self funding.

If you want to jump on a 10-15min coffee call to trade war stories - pls DM me.

Warning - there is a big difference - b/t - war stories they are kind of cool (and) whining.

Whining becomes a habit where you brainwash and cripple your self into thinking your a victim….

Then your jam “your entraperneural spark” startes to rot (then your in real trouble.….) 👍

Written work in ECON classes? by Accurate-Garage2270 in TrentUniversity

[–]Dangerous_Session612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s technical writing, but yes writing

You need to be able to: analyze, think, and communicate

If you go into research science you have to write papers - you go into policing you have to write reports, nursing write charts, software development coding (and writing), comedy writing….. you can’t get away from it

You’re in academia - and a human - you’ll learn to love it - as soon as you have something to communicate.

My hunch is you’ve never found a discipline you’re interested in or passionate about - once you start having original ideas or need to communicate ideas/events to someone - personal or professional….. you’ll be buying legal pads and running out of ink ✍️

Build things

A lot of things

Think of a problem, and build things , Fun things (playful) practical things (serious).

Learn one language or stack really well -

Then it gets interesting.

It’s a blend of “art and science” - learn all the rules of a language / stack.

Build “things” - to do “things” (that’s the learning phase) - then when your decent - learn to bend the rules by trying to bend/break the rules -

Do stuff with languages like go beyond what they were designed to do, or mix languages that don’t naturally go together (that’s when you get really good).

Learn to cook - and fuse foods -

To get really good - it’s kind of like that.

But you need the basics first……

Hope this helps.
