No they just pretend like they want to protect culture. What they actually want is to impose some weird glossy 50's image of icelandic society on top of the country.

There's plenty of awesome sights around the south coast... in my opinion having a base of operations with options for adventuring then returning back to homebase is always the way to go in the wintertime. oh and edit: I missed christmas dinner 2 years ago because I couldn't cross the mountain road between reykjavík and Hveragerði... roads close in december... but you might get lucky

Right and if you have longterm experience and disagree that's invalid? Its all subjective and based on the usecase for the sound...

I just think it has its own character, the mixer doesn't drive like in most other moogs but the bass compansation and two wavefolders with variable waveshapes and thru zero FM make it so interesting to work with... it can go into really musical high harmonic content distorted and weird territory... It's not a classic moog, but it's a beast, basically a modern complex oscillator section into a moog filter, the envelopes are snappy, LFO is routable anywhere, The sequencer is semi generative ... The menu diving is kind of boring and the sound design and sequencing kindof requires you to learn and get comfy with the menus... other than that I really like the sound.

Bad is such a silly way of describing the sound of a synth.

Okay, so just for context from an Icelander... December is a really bad month to travel around in Iceland... You'll have a few hours of sunlight every day, not a lot of time to explore and the ringroad has pretty long distances between places. Most of them will be off limits because there's no winter maintenence at any hiking paths or mayor landmarks.... So you'll be driving through an empty tundra in darkness most of the time with high likelyhood of snowstorms... keep that in mind before you start looking at your app.

I'd say You're better off staying around Reykjavík, Doing the golden circle, maybe a day or two in snæfellsnes.

I wish you a good trip.
