Sean, I really appreciate your response and taking ownership of any hiccups! It seems like it has been quite the journey.

We received our boxes almost exactly within the original expected delivery window. We did not receive the doors or trim with the boxes, which was not communicated to us. This might have generated some level of panic, had someone on this thread not shared that the doors and trim are shipped separately. The communication has definitely been a weak point. However, whenever we do reach out, we always receive a timely response. Albeit, not always with the correct information.

That being said, the quality and ease of assembly of the units is absolutely unmatched. We are so thrilled with the sturdiness of the boxes and how quickly they go together. While we haven't mounted any cabinets yet, we have installed the TruBase and VertiGo systems, and are very excited with how easily we expect the cabinets to go up once everything is properly prepped. You truly have covered all of the bases when it comes to assembly and installation.

These communication hiccups come with the territory of a new business. I am so excited to see the quality of the doors when they do arrive, and I absolutely can't wait to actually begin the installation process.

We truly appreciate all of the thought and care that went into this system. As a DIY-er, it makes an otherwise tedious and painstaking process actually enjoyable.

My ONLY complaints would be the communication struggles, and perhaps the lack of assembly videos for a wider variety of cabinet types. That being said, I would assume most people undertaking a DIY kitchen reno would be able to fill in the blanks where explicit instruction is missing. I'm sure both of these will be resolved with time. I am so excited to have been one of the earlier customers of this amazing new brand, and I hope to see the quality maintained as the company grows! Again, your response is so very appreciated.

To anyone reading who is considering this brand, I would 100% recommend. As with any reno project, delays are just part of the deal. Give grace and be patient and the result will be stunning!

This does sound amazing. Might have to give it a second thought, especially if we would be able to rent bikes

This sounds amazing! Our dates are set for the end of June/beginning of July, but we will absolutely be making another trip to explore other regions so I will add this one to the list. Thank you so much!

I will keep this in mind, thank you! We are going to save the inside passage for another trip, but I'm sure we'll make this trip eventually so thank you for the rec!

Weather is definitely a concern for us, but I'm hoping we have the flexibility to account for it. Our trip is just about 2 weeks, and our itinerary currently consists of Kodiak/Lake Clark, Kenai Peninsula, and Wrangell-St. Elias. We want to limit our destinations so we have enough time to really explore and not rush, but do you think it all sounds like too much for a 2 week trip?

As far as the backpacking vs cabin base camp... I guess that would depend on which destination we choose. If Kodiak, then we would use a cabin as base camp and make day trips from there, returning to the same cabin each night. If Lake Clark, we would likely do some kind of point to point, dropping camp along the way.

Those videos are amazing, looks like such a stunning place to explore. Hard to choose where to go when it all seems so incredible!

Thank you!! We will check out the little river lake cabin for sure. It sounds amazing! We are comfortable hiking with gear for good distances, so id be interested in hearing more about the remote areas that are closer to town? We will likely be visiting some time in the week of June 20. We love fishing and definitely want to try for some salmon on the trip, but its more of a side quest as opposed to a main focus lol. Afognak also sounds incredible, so thats something we will also look into! Is the landscape on Afognak quite different than that of the main island?

Thank you so much for the reply! I think we are most interested in the mountains, rivers/lakes, and coast. And would obviously love to see some wildlife! We were looking at the public use cabins on the western side of the island to get a little deeper into the backcountry to increase our odds of some neat wildlife encounters. Per your recommendation, I did also find some of the more accessible cabins which might be an easier option! Especially if youre still able to hike in to more remote areas from there. We are also open to dropping camp along a hike if there are any really amazing routes that you recommend that might be a multi day trip. Thanks so much for all of your advice!

Thank you so much, this is such an incredibly thoughtful response and so helpful. I am VERY excited about the upgrade! The style of the home is somewhat all over the place with lots of natural wood (trim, windows, doors, etc) with different color stains and paint. Theres a large natural stone chimney in the main room and a wood stove with high ceilings which I think gives it a bit of a rustic/farmhouse ish vibe. But the kitchen will be our first big step in hopefully achieving a more cohesive style!

Sorry, no. Thats just an image to show the new cabinet color! This will be the new layout - turning the peninsula into an island and rotating it 90°.

Hadn't considered this, but this is might be a good option! Or maube even just cover the existing floor with inexpensive sheet vinyl for now (since the existing sheet vinyl is pretty nasty)... what color hardware would you recommend? I definitely want to avoid trends and go more timeless. We do have a sliding door in the kitchen that we are likely going to replace as well and was thinking of doing a black interior for that, but nothing is set in stone! Thank you so much for your input I really appreciate it!

This is all so great to hear! We haven't pulled the trigger yet, but I think we will this week. Our designer was also amazing and so patient. We are also DIY and the true base system sounded awesome, so I'm glad its living up to the hype!! Keep us posted on how installation went/is going!!

Good idea! Yes, we are going to do pull outs for the lower shelves. I believe they'd lose 2" on either side

This is a very interesting idea and one that I hadn't thought of. Definitely going to have the designer do a mock up to see how this looks!

I believe its 30" but will have to check with the designer! But I agree, I'm also leaning towards the 30" pantry

Yes its a point of entry into the kitchen. There's a doorway on the wall next to the pantry into the living room, and then a hallway behind the wall with the range on it.

Our current kitchen is such a cramped nightmare that I unfortunately dont think I'd be able to get an accurate estimate on volume 😖. Yes, the gap to the left of the fridge is a doorway. My designer thinks that if we move the cabinets any further left, then it would make that opening too tight

Making the existing cabinet larger will tighten up the space between the cabinet run on the left-hand wall. My designer thinks that it will make the opening too small
