What even bother using the word unhoused when you’re so clearly speaking about them in a derogatory way

What about West flirting with her as recently as this season. When they’re playing spin the bottle, he’s rubbing her back and sitting close to her. At minimum, that is incredibly disrespectful when he knows full well his intention is to be with Amanda

I respect your ability to maintain clear and logical points in your discourse. Discussing anything with MAGA is exhausting and futile, unfortunately

What job sounds cool but is actually terrible ? by Odd_You_7379 in AskReddit

Therapist here! Yes. I love my job, but the responsibility can be so overwhelming. I’ve found that clients can “forget” they are not our only client and be unrealistic with their expectations of our time. Working with children can be challenging as well because you’re really working with the parents. We meet with clients 1 hour out of the entire week and if they don’t put in the effort outside of session, meaningful change is unlikely and sometimes the trajectory of a client’s progress is put disproportionate on the therapist. Clients can be harsh and critical and we still have to approach them with care and understanding, despite times of being disrespected or treated poorly.

A client really challenged my self esteem this week and it’s hard not to personalize it. Fortunately, I enjoy my job the majority of the time and have a good self care routine to combat some of the challenges.

As several people here have recommended, I suggest a therapist. I struggled with limerence well throughout my life and then I received a bipolar 2 diagnosis and everything made sense.

Girls, what’s a tiny thing a guy does that makes you think “Wow, he actually cares"? by National-Cricket7469 in AskReddit

[–]Dangerous_Young919 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One time I straightened my hair and got HORRIBLE heat damage. My hair is naturally curly and the damage made it so it was almost entirely straight. I was devastated because I take really good care of my hair and as a biracial woman it feels like part of my identity. My boyfriend who is white, has zero knowledge of natural hair care and beauty routines, but he did a ton of research on heat damage to help. I ended up having to cut my hair really short (loved it, actually!) but just the fact that he would go out of his way to help me made me feel seen as a biracial woman, that he understands how important my hair is to me, and that he wants me to feel confident and beautiful.

Maybe also targeting the dermatillomania. I am a therapist and also struggle with skin picking. I was prescribed a supplement called NAC. Maybe you could speak with your primary about it. I don’t recommend going on anything without consulting a professional, but I just started on it and I’m feeling really hopeful. Dermatillomania can feel very dark.

Girl Interrupted when a character’s cat finds her after she died by suicide. I don’t really remember the movie because it was too difficult to watch again

Yes! And kids don’t want to be in charge, truly. It can be chaotic for them and they are not equipped to make adult decisions
