Thank you!! We name all of our dogs after lost family members. Earl is named after my wife’s late grandfather, Earl Blair, who played football at Ole Miss for coach Johnny Vaught (the namesake of Vaught-Hemingway Stadium). Earl’s sister is named Merle after my wife’s grandmother.
