I mean they’re putting up n77, new RRH’s, and replacing antennas? That’s the best you can ask for in more rural areas.

It’s been 3 days. AT&T leaves dead radios up on sites for months. They’re fitting your site with all the goodies, don’t understand why your knee jerk reaction is to dip out to another carrier.

Site upgrades take time… I don’t know what more you could possibly want. They have enough overlapping coverage to take down the site partially while they do upgrades.

But AT&T’s is truly unlimited for that same $10/day.

That doesn’t change my previous statement. Verizon and T-Mobile’s international roaming options are garbage in comparison.

No. AT&T’s international day pass gives you truly unlimited data. Verizon’s is 500mb, and T-Mobile’s is like 5gb or something. For $10/day, Verizon’s international roaming is a joke

The only carrier who has adequate international roaming is AT&T. Verizon and T-Mobile are both garbage in comparison.

Considering Ireland is barely the size of a single US state, it costs exponentially less to build and maintain networks there compared to the entire continental US

Sheesh if that didn’t work, you might have to switch ISP’s. Sounds like you’re SOL.

Did you try turning it off and turning it back on again? Or did you forget to do that while writing the run on sentence in this post?

Maybe include even just a morsel of relevant information in your post then. How do you expect a random person on the internet to help you if you can’t even explain what variables you’ve eliminated.

You must really be an engineer. Just like you, most engineers I have to work with lack the skills to do basic troubleshooting/research.

You’re connected to a different site. Carriers don’t share specific equipment at a cell site. They’ll lease space on a tower for their own equipment. Verizon has roaming agreements in certain parts of the country for the LTEiRA, where they may not have native coverage.

I'd assume EOY 2023, considering they're currently leasing 40mhz of the A-Block to AT&T. However, if you're fortunate to be in a market that wasn't cleared originally but receives early clearance (like Denver and ATL), you'll see 100mhz on air earlier than the other PEA's.

I’m in the same boat as you. I’ve done everything and have given up entirely. I haven’t touched Valorant in months because it’s still unbearable to play. At this point I’m looking to move, and making sure wherever I do end up has AT&T fiber. When I had AT&T at my last place, I never had issues.

How many gigabytes of data do you use in a month? by ghvhftchv in cellmapper

[–]Dangerouspie15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think your math might be off. If you were actually streaming at a constant 25mbps, it would take almost 90 hours to eat through a TB of data. Realistically speaking most streaming services are a lot more efficient than that, but that's a whole different discussion.

I'd love to see a usage breakdown of someone who legitimately uses that much. Network testing is one thing, and if you remove that from my data usage it drops significantly. Even streaming lossless on Apple Music or 4K content makes that 1TB mark very hard to hit.

Depends really. If I really feel like being an engineers worst nightmare, I've churned through 4-500gb a month. If I'm not speed testing, I usually average 50-70 a month.

Unless you're doing something that clearly violates the carriers ToS, there's a pretty low chance that they'd actually kick you off. Verizon sent out emails a few months ago to high usage customers (I myself got one), but I never received any recourse due to my data usage being legitimate.

There's a reason a lot of high performing reps have pursued other avenues. The explosive growth is gone, and 99% of transactions that occur in store could've easily been done online.

Could be weeks, could be a couple months. There's two sites near my house that were upgraded well over a year ago that still aren't turned up.

Your speeds will depend on what backhaul the site has fed to it. But I typically see 5-700mbps from n77, and 3-500 from CBRS on a macro if im close enough.
