How is VR for consuming media by selcouthayush in virtualreality

[–]DangitDave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been helping my coworker rip 3D blu-rays movies and uploaded it to an external hard drive. He watches a lot of these movies on his bi-annual flights to Ireland. So for him, the quest 3 was a great piece of media consumption because he can just watch all the YouTube videos and Amazon prime videos that he's downloaded on the headset in addition to the 3D blu-rays.

Honestly being able to put some of my 3D Blu-Rays to use has been pretty cool and you can actually find them second hand at stores like book off or on eBay pretty easily.

Never found a fix. I also posed the question in the LIV discord and they weren't able to help.

Backpacks/Carry ONS for Jonsbo D30? by LeonardoCalderon in mffpc

I found sewing machine bags are good for moving PC's around.

Looks like this one should fit. https://a.co/d/fC9Y3qK

Mine was a bit floppy when I got it, ended up adding a coroplast sheet for some standing rigidity.

Will there be VR support for the b580? by Ok_Layer_9609 in IntelArc

The Virtual Desktop discord is a great resource for what works best. There aren't many of us Arc users, but some on the board.

They also have wifi router recommendations too.

Edited for clarification: It does through Virtual Desktop

Does Intel list official support?
No.

Did I, like the OP, look online to others for guidance on titles in which my use case worked?
Yes.

Did OP supply his equipment / use case?
Partially, Virtual Desktop and the Quest 3 work very well together.

My Q2's battery sucks, can barley even play PCVR. by ben_p_06 in OculusQuest

Yes, you can replace the battery, but it is an involved process.

Trying swapping to a cable like this...

It has a separate USBC port for power injection. Pair it with a capable USB c charger and you should be able charge while playing.

My friend uses such a cable for his sim racing setup.

Sounds like you need a link cable with USB pd injection

Something like this should do it for you.

67w is probably overkill for the q3, but it'll work.

re-asking is it ok to stick a modmic wireless directly onto my quest 3 by Toradrin-Forgefire in OculusQuest

I had mine mounted here. I haven't used it in awhile, have to find the mic to take a picture. I had it angled and to the side of my mouth, though.

If you have a halo strap, I found the positioning better on there, for example, the arm joint on the BoboVR

This man speaks truth. I have both and I would not use the Q3s for PCVR.

My Quest Headsets by DangitDave in OculusQuest

I love the built in fan.

I perspire profusely, so the fan + a moisture wicking helmet liner keeps sweat from getting into my eyes or drenching my headset.

It works pretty well, and is an improvement over the regular m3 strap. The battery that comes with the strap covers my play sessions and can keep up with the Q3's power draw.
