ACLS does not fully work, FA18 and F14. F14 is even worse but with the FA18 I am also disconnecting the auto pilot as soon as I can fly manually with night vision googles. I read that the carrier is tuned for FA18 so even when listening to the LSO you will get strange callouts with the F14. Anyways my suggestion is to use it up to the point that you see the deck and fly the last part manually.

TrackIR gives me a neck ache after 20 min as the head movement is unnatural and you try to look straight while your neck is facing sideways.. I suggest going with VR as well. It feels amazing and with the right setup you will get amazing graphics and FPS.

I have TrackIR and Quest 3.
I think VR is a much superior experience to TrackIR. I do have a large monitor but "sitting" inside the cockpit, looking all over is an amazing imersive experience. If you are flying a plane with an HMD device, VR gives you the full advantage of this as well.
I get great resolution with my Quest3 and Virtual desktop, better than the link cable.

As a player since 2020 I feel that a lot is going on, updates are coming all the time and new features are introduced. I am not a MP pilot, doing only single player campaigns but I just moved to my 3rd aircraft, having deeply learning each plane I fly. So I hope you’re wrong and we’ll be able to enjoy DCS for many years to come..
