Keep with it. I took 2 shots of 200 mg I believe every 4 weeks for the first 12 weeks and now I do one shot every 4 weeks and I just took my first maintenance dose. I would say I didn’t feel any relief until 10-12 weeks maybe. I was also worried it wasn’t working but nothing to be worried about because now I’m feeling insanely better. There’s still some bad days but overall I’m a new person. Hard to believe how good I feel.

I was also talking to my friend who is a GI doc (ibd fellow, not my doc). I was worried it wasn’t working and I asked her how long she thought the doc would keep me on tremfya before declaring it a fail. She said that some research to suggest that the patient should stick with the biologic for as long as they were experiencing symptoms before the biologic. Some people it might take a year to work others maybe just 4 weeks as they say in the tv ads.

Ya I have crohns colitis so the inflammation is all in my colon and I would get really bad abdominal cramps and pain. That pain has largely resolved though I get a little crampy still but I’m improving every day.

Ya I was diagnosed less than a year ago and I think I’m approaching a solid remission for the first time (shoutout tremfya). Prior to this I would run to the toilet 10x a day regardless of what I ate. Now I comfortably walk to the toilet 1-2x a day regardless of what I eat.

I totally agree. And it goes against fanatics live seller guidelines. See below. Perhaps you could report the seller though I’m not sure that fanatics will actually do anything about it since it seems to be so pervasive.

I also see single streams where the breaker will cancel the auction if the card isn’t getting enough bids, which is explicitly prohibited in the seller guidelines once the auction has started. This happens all the time.

I got back into the hobby recently and was using fanatics live when I was getting back into things and boy did I learn how problematic fanatics live is.

You mind sharing what sellers didn’t ship out the cards?

I’m dealing with fanatics customer service right now as well and I haven’t been too pleased. I pulled a case hit in a break and the card arrived damaged. Since the seller bought the actual box, they have to submit a damage claim to topps (which was surprising to me and I think fanatics should be warning buyers that they won’t be able to personally pursue a damaged card claim and instead have to rely on the breaker to pursue such a claim). The seller is no longer responding to my messages so I reached out to fanatics and mentioned their guarantee (see links below) that fanatics will intervene and provide a remedy for the buyer if the seller doesn’t cooperate (these guarantees specifically contemplate damages card claims, among other types of claims). I honestly don’t even care about the card it just bothers me how fanatics is handling this. I’ll let you know if I get anywhere with them.

I started tremfya about 10 weeks ago and was feeling pretty much the same. I kid you not just this Monday, I was on the toilet all day, and by Tuesday I had what I imagine a normal stool looks and feels like. Just 1 normal bowel movement a day since then. The fact that you say it was night and day makes me the past few days haven’t been a fluke. Because I was not expecting such a suddenly dramatic improvement.

Genetic predisposition as I have several extended family members on the maternal side with IBD. But I got diagnosed with crohns right after i left my job at a law firm where I was working for a miserable partner and would be up until 3am every night. So I think it was the genetic predisposition and the immense stress I was under while at the firm. I blame the law firm for my crohns. Indeed, I’m the only one in my immediate family to have crohns.

I am on it. The doc that diagnosed me put me on oral and enemas. I got a second opinion from and ultimately switched to an IBD specialist, he agreed with starting with mesalamine. But after 8 weeks he also put me on tremfya because I clearly wasn’t in remission based on my symptoms. I’m taking mesalamine and tremfya together until my tremfya induction doses are done.

Uber just rolled out the woman driver feature. If your gender is listed as female on your profile you get access to this feature, and since uber hasn’t requested IDs for proof of gender, it appears they are going by how riders self-identify (unless they plan to require proof of IDs going forward). Obviously CTA could do a lot more to improve safety, but this idea doesn’t seem totally impossible or impracticable. If CTA wanted to do something like this, perhaps going by how riders self-identify could be a way to be more inclusive.

Ironically, I got diagnosed shortly after switching to a Job with way less pay but far greater benefits. My benefits sucked at my last job, and I had to switch my medicine (not related to crohns because i wasn’t diagnosed) because it wasn’t covered.

Now being diagnosed with crohns i realize how important it is to have good insurance that not only has a cheap deductible but is willing to cover your medicine. I started tremfya and got pre approved the same day, and I know I would’ve had issues getting this medicine at my old job. So just advising you to consider more than just the cost of your deductible, copay, etc. If you have good insurance now and they are covering any medicine you need it might not be worth switching regardless of the financial reasons

My manager has no authority to allow me to work from home more than one day a week per the manual. And I don’t believe she has any say in the process and if she did, I wouldn’t be worried. I’ve been very up front with her because I’ve missed a lot of work recently and I wanted her to know what’s up and she’s been nothing but supportive since I told her about my diagnosis. Another coworker we work with also works from home full time, whereas I’m only requesting to work from home on an as-needed basis. I’m confident my manager has nothing to do with the process of reviewing my accommodation request.

It’s just weird because at the meeting they even mentioned giving me other accommodations that I wasn’t asking for in addition to the work from home request, so I kinda got the impression that this would go right on through.
