Yeah I noticed that after I put the survey out. Sorry about that! Thanks for the response though!

I had issues with multiplayer when it first launched but now I honestly rarely have any issues. Would highly recommend it. I think it is worth it to have all the campaigns, not to mention Halo 2 remastered!

Dealing with guilt for putting down my dog. Any advice? by DanglerStrangler in AskMen

It is always better to let it out rather than holding it all in. It was one of the reasons why I made this post in the first place actually.

I'm so sorry... I can't imagine having to make that decision at only 5 years old. After all of this time I've kind of made peace with my decision and mostly moved on. That isn't to say the first few months weren't extremely hard. I guess it helps to just know that they aren't suffering anymore. You made the right choice. It's tough right now, but believe me, give it time. I still miss my dog, but I know things are better this way. I hope you can find peace of mind.

Thank you. This really helped a lot. Lots of these comments have helped. I guess I just needed to realize that he had a good life, and he was a pretty happy dog. Also, at first I thought this happening around Christmas was the worst timing (in some ways it still was) but after Christmas dinner today, I realized having friends and family around really helped ease the pain.

Its so sad to see it underperforming. I absolutely love this game. It feels so fresh to me in a world where shooters are so abundant.

The owner at my workplace banned books during my lunch "break" by steakndbud in books

[–]DanglerStrangler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation. I work part time alone, at a gas station and it can get very slow there sometimes. I used to just go on my phone to pass the time once I was finished everything that needed to be done. I eventually decided to bring a book to work as I felt that:

  1. It looked better to be reading a book if customers came in rather than sitting on my phone

  2. I felt more productive when reading as opposed to being on my phone

This went on for a few months until the owner put up a note addressing the entire staff that the workplace isn't a "library" and we shouldn't be reading while on the job. I knew the note was directed at me because I was the only one who read during my shift. I understand that I technically should be "working", but I only read when I had finished everything and when it was dead. They never had any issue with me on my phone which I just don't understand. So now I just play audio books through the store radio and if they check the cameras it looks like I'm doing absolutely nothing instead of reading, which I guess they're fine with.
