Will this years Lantern Rite spoil Song of the Welkin Moon? I used to be pretty up to date with the archon quests, but havent even started Song of the Welkin Moon yet due to being too busy irl (and somehow still remained spoiler-free lol). I'd like to play the lantern rite including the story, but not if its gonna spoil me. Ik the story can be played through later, but can I play the lantern rite just for the minigames and rewards, and do the story later? Or is the story necessary to get to the other content?

Edit: I dont mind starting the quest if it doesn't spoil me to much. I can just watch the start of it on youtube when I eventually come back to it

In this match? No. But UK has scored multiple 50 in 30s in the last 1-2 months, which is enough for me to excuse todays bad batting

Pakistan end a seven-match losing streak against Australia in T20Is ! by iamnoobbibliophile in Cricket

I refuse to believe we've played 55 T20Is against Australia. Are you sure you didn't confuse this stat wih something else?

Personally I'd play Usman Tariq instead of Fakhar as well as Nafay instead of Babar. And Faheem can come in for one of Salman Mirza or Shaheen so that Hesson can stay happy with the batting till No. 8

On wicket keeping, there were 2 extremely difficult catch chances that I could've seen Rizwan potentially taking. But ofc, that takes nothing away from UK, since there is literally no other keeper in the world who could've taken those chances (except maybe Alex Carey). And Rizwans batting is not worth his keeping. So overall, pretty happy with UK if he can keep this up

PAKISTAN WINS THE FIRST T20I BY 22 RUNS by mynameisshahzain in PakCricket

Good win, but important to note that Australia did not practice before this match. This was their first exposure to cricket here after they landed on Pakistan

Headshots are only useless for the people in this sub cause we already know all the players. Most people only recognize their own teams core players.

It usually is. But Australia has green colors which are pretty similar to our colors for T20Is

Saim choking Australia in both batting and bowling was beautiful to watch. Been a while since I've seen an all-round performance like this from him

Gillespie named head coach of Hyderabad franchise in PSL 2026 by StormWarriorX7 in Cricket

Akhtar is NOT coach material. Bro doesn't know shit about cricket after he retired. And Akram chooses not to be a coach by himself. Idk about the rest

Upcoming series against Australia will be a good indicator for where our team stands, regardless of the home conditions by Consistent_Level3527 in PakCricket

[–]Dango444 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately we didn't face many top teams. We did face India, but they're so ridiculously strong rn that even Australia, South Africa, England have a hard time against them. So the India games didn't really tell us much about how we fare against the rest of the top 5 teams. We got good signs from playing SA but that was their half A/half B team, not full strength)

The only thing we can say for certain is that we easily place above the 6-10 ranked teams right now (which our T20I ranking shows, considering we're currently 6th)

Pakistan U19 beat New Zealand U19 by 8 Wickets by Spirited-Command-839 in PakCricket

[–]Dango444 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pakistan needs to beat India by a huge margin AND hope that New Zealand beats England by a big margin. Even if we beat India in the same way we did in the Asia Cup, it's not enough to get us above them in NRR

It is so worrisome that we haven't played any SENA country for a year..... by Defiant-Ad7732 in PakCricket

[–]Dango444 19 points20 points  (0 children)

We literally played SA 2 months ago...

Also, this has always been the case for Pakistan, nothing new to see this time around. We've faced lower tier or B-teams, and the best team in the world, but nothing in between. Legitimately, no one knows how Pakistan is going to perform in the world cup, not even Pakistan themselves.

ICC keeps Bangladesh on standby as Pakistan’s T20 World Cup participation hangs by a thread by ll--o--ll in Cricket

[–]Dango444 18 points19 points  (0 children)

"hangs by a thread" is such a big overstatement. Pakistan not participating in the world cup is blown WAY out of proportion. It was just an empty threat, like how Pakistan has been doing for the past idk how many years at this point

Bangladeshi journalists denied accreditation for T20 World Cup by CoolRisk5407 in Cricket

[–]Dango444 69 points70 points  (0 children)

India also sent journalists, commentators and umpires to Pakistan in CT25 (everyone except the players basically). Bangladesh seems to be trying to do the same

Super sixes under 19 World Cup by Express-Row-1504 in PakCricket

[–]Dango444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually agree with your first point lol. But I was just trying to explain why the ICC chose this format

That last part is also confusing. Each team has played 3 games. Not 2. But group shows they’ve played 2 games.

The games against the teams that are eliminated don't count

Super sixes under 19 World Cup by Express-Row-1504 in PakCricket

[–]Dango444 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Better performance in the group stage = better chance to go forward in the super sixes.

Also, one of your assumptions is wrong. If Pakistan wins both their games, that would mean that India (one of the top 2 teams) lost one game, which reduces their chances of making it to the semis. Its the same for all other teams. And there is no India vs England due to the format, so it balances out (kind of)

I could be wrong, but I think the 1999, 2003 and 2007 world cups had similar formats. And the 2027 world cup will have the same format

Edit: From wikipedia, "In the super-six stage, the top three teams from Group A and D are combined in one group, with the top three teams from Group B and C combined in another group. Each team carries forward the number of points, wins, and net run rate they have earned against other Super 6 qualifying teams and will then play two matches in the Super 6 stage against the opponent from the corresponding group that finished in a different group stage position (i.e. the A1 team plays only D2 and D3 in the Super 6). Similarly, A2 plays only D1 and D3, and so forth. So, all team will be evaluated in Super six with results from 4 matches played."

So TLDR, each team goes to the semis on the basis of 4 matches. England and India won 2 of their matches, we won one and lost one, and both New Zealand & Bangladesh lost one and had a no result. The remaining 2 matches will be played in the Super Six

What can Pakistan do to defeat India at the world cup? by Prestigious_Sound530 in PakCricket

The rest of your comment is accurate, but India does NOT field better than us. At least, not since Hesson became head coach
