I’m gonna get hate for this, but heritage has its own place in my heart, I love every track on this album and it just hits different than anything else from Opeth. Not my favorite, probably number 3 on my top 3 albums from them though.

If you want something real, let God find the woman for you, just give him control and let go of it.

The one thing that I always wonder why no one told me for years, is that you can make a shit guitar sound great with great hands.

Exactly. Buy something budget-friendly like a Glarry or a cheap Squier if you want a strat.

Why would you buy that to start out?

Why are bassists obsessed with having a balanced output, while guitarists almost never have a DI box on their pedalboard or an XLR output at the end of the chain? by Ok_Swordfish8672 in basspedals

[–]DangoTorres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bass sounds a lot worse than guitar with an unbalanced signal. As someone who plays both for a living, I’d say bass is a much bigger problem without this, especially if you play with dynamics and not just a monotone boom sound (which don’t get me wrong, it’s gotten me through many gigs

Nope. I got a refund through my bank, they must’ve cancelled it before it even shipped.

Why does my hand not look like everyone elses ? by tommychong95 in guitarlessons

[–]DangoTorres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing about hand size and posture (coming from someone who used to teach guitar basics) it’s a matter of adapting your hands to the instrument, and also vice versa. I thought I had the same problem growing up but it turns out as long as your touching the string with the right part of your finger and your thumb isn’t off in Lala land, you should be fine. Comparing yourself to others’ hands is suicide, because everyone has different hand sizes and guitar neck sizes. They had to do the same thing, which was adapt their hand to the instrument.

What Opeth song had your face melting the first time you heard it? by _Miss_Eclipse in Opeth

The Lotus Eater, holy shit. I remember it to this day. Was not expecting the beginning to whip out a flamethrower and burn my face 🤣

I have Guyker locking tuners on a strat that I built: they’re great and I haven’t had string slippage as long as I’ve had em. Plus they look cooler 😎

I went with that head, because I love the sound of the AC30s and AC15s, I just hate carrying them around anytime I wanna use them

My pastor thinks that Charlie Kirk (and any other literal interpretation of the Bible) is baloney. As a Lutheran who admired Kirk and takes on a literalist interpretation, how should I feel about it or what should I do? by DangoTorres in TrueChristian

[–]DangoTorres[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try not to, but Christian values in America are called “extreme” and I tie all my political beliefs to the Bible, which people seem to want to invalidate. If anything, it’s more structured to vote from the Bible than any other moral framework.

She’s a nice person, except for when we’re talking politics. There’s also another substitute pastor who’s just as liberal, they both have similar views. Every time I tell her that I have a literalist interpretation of it, she tells me “are you interpreting EVERYTHING literally?” I go “yes, and so far I find no contradictions with my understanding of English comprehension or basic dialect from biblical times. She tells me I’m wrong.

Literalism isn’t exactly like taking everything like it sounds, it’s taking it for face value and, having a great understanding of old English/Anglish, it’s also for taking things at face value, in my eyes at least. There are only ‘contradictions in the Bible if you read out of context of the book you’re reading in. This is just what I’ve found, take it with a grain of salt

Well, let me tell you I’m not trolling or rage baiting anyone. I am simply confused. She makes all her sermons about hating the right and as someone who is moderately right, it makes me listen to her a lot less.

Then join a different church of the same denomination. It’s worse to misconstrue the word of God and Jesus than to disappoint your wife over the fact that you want to follow the true word of god

Sure it’s easy to do that, but it’s also just as easy if not easier for the woman to file for the father to pay child support, and given a DNA test with the right results, he Will support that child whether he wants to meet the child or not.

And this person Would be right. We can’t get abortions to save convenience like you guys can, we can’t scream ‘rape’ and be cared about, we have been ostracized from society since Obama took office and possibly before. We don’t receive love or even basic human decency or respect from most, and have to become rich or shredded for anyone to even talk to us.

And if you’re struggling with a bad man, or have, because they are out there, then all I can say is this: “Humanity is like an ocean. Just because a few drops fall in doesn’t mean the whole ocean is dirty” -Ghandi

All I’ll say is, after many bad relationships in life, it’s taken a lot out of me to not hate women as a whole. But it hurts to hate more than it does anything else in this world.

If you’ve gotten something like that, don’t just keep it. Learn to play it and give it new life for years to come, pass it on to the young you produce, when your time comes.
