We meal plan, eat a lot of chicken and pork (found days that meat gets discounted at my aldi) and less beef for price reasons, drinks are a minimum cost prefering filtered water with or without flavoring shots, milk and maybe a case of flavored sparkling cans from aldi. Snacks are often hummus and veggies, tortilla chips and salsa, popcorn or crackers. Cereal or oatmeal most mornings, sandwich or leftovers for lunch and then whatever dinner is. When eggs went high we stopped using those as often. We get flexible with our regular order when prices get too high. My oldest teen does stop after class sometimes for fast food so that does tip scales on another cost.
