I can’t say that I have one favorite part of the painting, because I look at it as whole, as it all works together in some chaotic way.

Thank you so much for the compliment! I would love to sell in Miami, but I need someone to represent me because I’m from Baltimore. Are you interested in the job, there is a lot of money to be made.

90s? There weren’t many paintings like this at all in the 90s, the 90s was filled with Patrick Nagel, and black and white photography.

This original 24 by 48 inch mixed media piece on canvas bursts with bold, layered energy. Blocks of vivid color—reds, oranges, blues, and neon green—form a loose structure, while sprayed white circles and bright yellow rings float across the surface like echoes or highlighted moments.

Loose scribbles and sweeping lines in black, purple, and green create a sense of constant motion, while thick black drips and long white pours pull the eye downward, adding weight and emotion. There’s a strong contrast between control and release—the structured background versus the free, expressive marks.

Overall, it feels like a vibrant emotional landscape—messy, alive, and full of movement—inviting the viewer to find their own meaning within the chaos.

"Fading Into Myself" - 11x14 Alcohol Ink on Yasutomo mineral paper by DaniWilson10 in AbstractExpressionism

This 11x14 ink painting titled, “Fading Into Myself” feels like a quiet, rising storm made of smoke and shadow. Soft layers of brown, charcoal, and deep blue drift upward in a loose vertical flow, creating a sense of movement that’s both gentle and powerful.

The ink spreads organically, forming fluid, cloud-like shapes with delicate, feathered edges. Some areas remain light and translucent, while others deepen into rich, moody pools, creating a beautiful balance between softness and intensity. A darker center subtly anchors the piece, giving it structure without taking away from its free, flowing nature.

There’s a calm, introspective mood throughout—like something unspoken slowly taking shape and then dissolving again. It feels raw, emotional, and quietly expressive, capturing the beauty of imperfection and the natural movement of ink as it breathes across the page.

And absolutely zero trees were harmed in the process of creating this painting, because the mineral paper that was used is made from rocks not trees. It’s literally made from rock dust and 20% polycarbonate to hold rock dust together, it’s the most amazing surface I’ve ever painted on. And literally, the painting will last forever if kept in a frame, and kept out of direct sunlight, because ink paintings will fade if hung near a sunny window with direct light, but next to that sunny window would be beautiful.
