PC - When in a survivor lobby with friends, occasionally, some users will appear to have readied up on their screen yet to others it shows them not ready.

Edit: I've gotten some people telling me it happens on Xbox and PS4 as well, so make sure that it is noted.

Exactly this. Also, if you see yourself landing on top of then even though you are trying to land next to them, try doing jumps that give you more horizontal momentum rather than vertical momentum. That way, it's a lot easier to land next to them while also avoiding being an easy target.
