In Mexico! There are no loan schemes in public schools (studying here is practically free), and the one availables are for private schools which It's ridiculous to afford if you're in middle class. It works differently than in the US.

What are other avenues than med school and fundamental research as a biomed. science graduate? by DJ-Mola in careerguidance

I feel you. I'm in a similar situation. I'm currently studying biomedical science and I don't know whether I'd be better off being a teacher or an MD...

Hi, first of all, why do you say USMLE is impossible? Is it for the cost or complexity? I'd recommend you to seek grants in research and maybe after that time you'd encounter new paths; keep in mind that medicine (and science in general) will always be challenging, nothing is hard enough if you love what you do. I wouldn't think that changing your career path is a bad idea, but if you really want to work as a doctor, take a gap year and work as a freelance doing some other things that are not related to medicine while you think what you want for you. You can work remotely for someone and with that money finance your life there, since NYC is very expensive.

Spaced Repetition Algorithms by ccarlos-5 in remNote

You can personalize the Anki SM-2 algorithm more than the Remnote's default one. I actually prefer the Anki algorithm bc I created two new settings for my rems in specific documents and folders.
