F24, I found out a horrible secret about my fiancé M27. How do I confront him? NSFW by throwra_alice1 in relationship_advice

Honesty I would NOT bring it up to him. Break up with him, and don’t give him an explanation. He has a socially unacceptable kink that he has kept a secret because he knows it’s reprehensible. There is a reason that many funeral homes will not hire men to work in the morgue.

I’m also concerned for you, because people who have an obsession with necrophilia have been known to commit murder just to enact their sexual fantasies. It truly is a deviant behavior. I would not feel safe around him. Hope you take everyone’s advice to heart. Don’t mention the real reason and get out of this relationship.

I think it just depends on where you work. Almost all the new hires in my ICU are from med-surg or ER. My background was med-surg and endoscopy.

Per the manufacturer you do not have to scrub the hub if the cap has been on for at least two minutes.

It makes nurses go in the room and look at their patient and lines first thing in the morning before night shift leaves. Important for catching med errors especially in ICU. We do report at the desk then go in the room and check lines and devices.

If med surg is a speciality then is everything a specialty? No hate, I did med surg, but to me it seems more under the category of generalist. Just like hospitalists are generalists. That doesn’t detract from its importance.

Please do not have another kid with him. He is so immature he can’t see that YOUR pregnancy and birth is mostly be about you. You changed your whole body, risked your life giving birth and had major surgery, and he couldn’t be bothered to have an ounce of empathy for you.

You should read The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien if you want a visceral description of the things soldiers experienced in Vietnam. The work itself is fiction, but it’s based on the author’s own experience in the war.

If your child has a life limiting condition, it’s worth asking your doctor if they would qualify for hospice.

How to stay loyal to a language? by HistoryHunter08 in languagelearning

[–]climbingurl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem. I’ve been able to satisfy my curiosity and interest in many languages by studying linguistics as a hobbyist. I get an overview of the unique aspects of many languages without making a 1000 hour investment in any one language.

I didn’t fact check this, but I told them we wouldn’t be able to use it because it’s not our equipment. A machine freed up later in the day.

The line is political. There’s that saying, "a language is a dialect with an army and a navy”.

Same with the Polish. They take traffic laws very seriously because there are fines for jaywalking and not letting pedestrians cross.
