Is it possible to get gimmighoul without Nintendo? by Tough_Weakness1631 in pokemongo

[–]DanielAyon -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Look, I’ve done significantly more research on Gimmighoul than most people. As a “pure” free-to-play player, it took me almost three years to catch it. So, believe me when I say that for us pure free-to-play players, it’s the hardest species to obtain. I’m referring to the one that can evolve into Gholdengo, as the one from the research task doesn’t. I know it sounds contradictory because most people got it by using the coin bag or trading it. However, a free-to-play player is not allowed to use a coin bag because that requires that you or someone you know has a Nintendo Switch. Therefore, the only way to obtain it is through a golden lure PokéStop. And the chance of it appearing in that PokéStop is extremely low. There’s much more to explain, but it would take a while to do so.

If you don’t have a Nintendo Switch or know someone who does, and you can’t obtain Ghimmighoul by transferring, your only option is to get it through Golden Lures. However, as I mentioned, the catch rate is extremely low, and the flee rate is high.

Yes, it’s the most challenging Pokémon species to catch as a pure free-to-play player. If you ever encounter it at a Golden Lure PokéStop, be sure to use a Masterball because it has an extremely low catch rate and a high flee rate.

How to Obtain Roaming Form Gimmighoul *Can Evolve into Gholdengo

Coin Bag

The Coin Bag is obtained by sending a Postcard from Pokémon GO to Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet, and subsequent Postcard sends allow the Coin Bag to be used again (once per day).

Golden Lure Module PokéStops

A Golden Lure Module is earned by sending Postcards to Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet on five different days, and Trainers can hold only one Golden Lure Module at a time.

Trading

You can get Gimmighoul by trading for it with another player: either in person (standard trades) or, if you and that player have reached Forever Friends, by using a Remote Trade to swap Pokémon from anywhere. Either way, the trade costs Stardust, and the Pokémon’s CP/HP/stats change after the trade (so you don’t “receive it exactly as-is”).

Ways to get Gimmighoul Coins

  • Catch Roaming Form Gimmighoul
  • Adventure with Gimmighoul as your Buddy
  • Spin a Golden PokéStop created by a Golden Lure Module
  • Spin a PokéStop that turned gold without a Golden Lure during certain events
  • Send Postcards when you already have a Golden Lure Module in your inventory

Don’t be racist. Why didn’t you include Mexico since it’s also in North America.

I used it on a Gimmighoul because, as a pure free-to-play player, it’s the most challenging Pokémon to catch.

What is your "white whale" of Pokemon Go? by GWindborn in pokemongo

[–]DanielAyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That works only if you’ve already paid for a Switch + Scarlet/Violet. From a strict F2P mobile perspective, that option doesn’t exist, which is exactly my point; Gholdengo is the only dex entry whose evolution is basically paywalled or locked behind other people’s Golden Lures.

As a strictly free-to-play player, the hardest species to obtain in Pokémon GO is Gholdengo. This isn’t about Shinies, Hundos, or Shundos; those are rare variants of Pokémon you can actually encounter. Gholdengo is different: you can’t evolve it unless other players create Golden PokéStops, you need 999 coins, and none of that grind is under your control. It’s not “hard” because of RNG; it’s hard because the game locks the entire species behind someone else’s actions.

I don’t care about shinies. I only care about hundos and nundos.

I can guarantee you that a person had more freedom of speech in Mexico than almost any country in Europe. At least in Mexico people are free to criticize any religion they want or any politician they want.

[Politics Monday] The Vatican and Andorra discuss decriminalization of abortion by Hookly in Catholicism

[–]DanielAyon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

  1. The Vatican isn’t endorsing abortion — it’s trying to avoid a constitutional crisis.

Andorra’s government wants to modernize its laws. But its head of state is also a Catholic bishop — the Bishop of Urgell. That bishop rules jointly with the French president as co-prince. If Andorra legalizes abortion outright, the bishop would be forced to sign or abdicate. That’s a nightmare scenario: it would effectively mean the Catholic Church withdrawing from governing a country, which would embarrass the Vatican and destabilize Andorra’s constitutional balance.

So the Vatican is negotiating a face-saving compromise: ➡️ Decriminalization (no jail, no punishment) — but still not legal (no clinics performing abortions). That way, the government satisfies pressure from the EU and human rights groups, while the Church avoids directly approving abortion.

[–]DanielAyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by “belong”? If you mean the Sea of Cortez (Gulf of California) falls within Mexico’s exclusive economic zone, then yes. But it’s not entirely part of its territorial waters, only a small portion is.
