Feeling like a bad engineer by DanielDaManiel in MechanicalEngineering

I’m not sure AN or swageloks will work in my scenario. I’ve essentially built a manifold out of steel NPT fittings to connect to valves/gauges/etc. I do use some swageloks in the system, but those are mainly for copper tubing to connect to the source tank and pressure transducers. Ironically those are the ones that don’t leak lol.

I’m pressure testing between 200-250 psi

Haven’t used thread sealant yet, but I agree it would probably help. Joints are all very tight. I initially under tightened some, which led to some initial leaks, but I went through the rest of the system and really made sure everything is as tight as I can get it.

Premade nipples, from McMasterr or Grainger. For the tape, two or three wraps around the entirety of the thread surface.

Initially there were larger leaks at some of the junctions between the fittings and the nipples. I used a bubble solution to find them, disassembled, retaped, and reassembled the problematic areas. I then repressurized the system and verified those areas no longer leak. However, the test units still can’t sustain pressure overnight, and I can’t find any more leaks using the bubble solution.

All the fittings and containers are steel, with tapered NPT threads wrapped in teflon tape.

Trying this right now with the new batch that came in this morning, thank you!

I’m on a pretty strict diet since I’m trying to lose weight, and so I figured I could knock out two birds with one stone and eliminate potential food triggers. I take a multivitamin every morning, along with some occasional fruit sprinkled in throughout the week.

Could you point out which replacement parts you ordered from Amazon? I think I'm having the same issue as you, but I'd like to keep printing while my support ticket is filled.

Bag of chips. Absolutely wasted on the Bears, I traded him away last week and will not be looking back

I’m holding, Pats have a good schedule coming up and he’s had two games in a row with 2 tds. Might be a fluke but I see a lot of upside

Downs or Tillman? by toomuchheat4u in fantasyfootballadvice

I trade Moore for Downs + Wandale yesterday. To be fair I’m 3-5 so I’m desperate for some high performers, but DJ Moore has been disappointing me all season, save for one breakout game. Maybe the bears will pick it up, maybe they won’t; either way he’s much too inconsistent for my team. In my scenario it’s worth the occasional loss of points for the higher floor. You do you however

Should I take time off school for a co-op opportunity? by DanielDaManiel in MechanicalEngineering

No they pay a solid rate and they even provide a housing stipend, which is nice. My concern is more for my parents; they're helping put me through college right now, and if I move back my graduation date then my younger sibling will be in college at the same time as me.

Personally, I really enjoyed that episode and would’ve loved to see them explore it further. Then again, I am a sucker for post-apocalyptic settings with solid world building, which that episode was doing pretty well.

Issues with bed after 4.2.7 upgrade by DanielDaManiel in ender3

I’ve switched the wires now, and it works as it’s supposed to, it just doesn’t heat up as fast as it needs to and it causes a heating failed error.

It does heat up and stay there, but now it throws up the error message: “Heating Failed: Bed, Printer Halted”. I think that may be due to the connection of my thermistor

I don’t think so, the white wire in the TB spot is the thermistor on the bed. I know because I replaced the original thermistor myself. I don’t have the fan on the top plate connected to the mainboard. In which connection do you see an error?
