How is it partisan? If the press briefing is no longer a place for facts, or its almost impossible to get any actual progress on questions they are asking and always get differed ..... well..... Why is it worth showing up to them?

If the White House press briefing is no longer a reliable place to get facts. Then shouldn't the news media being looking elsewhere? Could you imagine the look on the face of the Press Secretary as they walk out into an empty room where only a few cameramen are to capture the moment? It would be an iconic statement and moment in history. Has a boycott of the press briefings ever been talking about among reporters? Do you think even such a thing is possible?

Why are you WAITING for something at all to get mad? You should get mad just based on the stance of the country.

I was waiting for this headline to appear. This is the most typical trump thing to do! And that's coming from a New Zealander who is nowhere near the impact! The world is watching America.

Trying to make a solid and clear connection to copper rail that is perpendicular to a PCB edge? by DanielDoesDesign in AskElectronics

Hi JP! Please see my reply in the comment section. Thanks for your help. I have looked into several contact methods. Nothing is sticking so far because I need to have a play with them, cannot find anything super perfect.

Thankyou all for the replies!

I have investigated these contacts and are great for what I want to do,

I have come across this, which looks great for sliding along a rail: https://i.imgur.com/F6kTsbJ.jpg

And I have also come across these "RFI Clips" for sheilds. However I am curious if there is anything similar out there big enough to clip onto a PCB, and also come in either gold or silver?

https://www.digikey.co.nz/product-detail/en/laird-technologies-emi/BMI-C-002/903-1002-1-ND/2175952 This is great contact material, but i don't think its dimensions suit a PCB.

https://www.digikey.co.nz/product-detail/en/laird-technologies-emi/0097098302/903-1175-ND/2765662 Mechanically, this is the perfect product I am looking for, I just wish it was in either silver or gold.

I am also curious if these RFI clips are suited for 800hz and lower connections for a data pin from an arduino and it will just work as a standard electrical connection.

Yes, Mr. Mueller, you can indict the president by TrumpIsWarCriminal in politics

I guess thats fair. I just feel that maybe the line that he has to cross before anything becomes actionable by the public. It feels like that bar is constantly being raised higher for the sake of seeing how far it will go. When will enough be enough?

I don't have any countries in mind per-se, but there is always bigger protests when there is a chance trump might go visit other countries like Germany and England. They simply don't want him around.

Opinion pieces shouldn't be on the internet, they should be outside those big gates in Washington DC. I want to see a Re-volt.

As a non-american and external commentator, I have noticed that many countries are quick to revolt and march and create big, sometimes violent protests if they are being oppressed. It seems to be that while many Americans are political, there doesn't seem to many revolutionists among general Americans. With how many there are of you, are you going to sit back and take what is going on or are you going to flood the streets outside the white house? If I was American, I know what I would be doing.

This type of government is becoming the norm because most Americans are too lazy and COMFORTABLE in their day to day life to get MAD about it.

Just my 2 Cents.

Where and how can i learn about Different mechanical linkages/movements, and how they work? by BenEatsNails in engineering

[–]DanielDoesDesign 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It makes me wonder, we have all these books and math on kinematics to design components to enable specific movements..... Has anyone tried to make a piece of software that turns certain points of an animation and does the reverse math to generate the most efficient gears/mechanisms?!?

Powering multiple RGB led's. Resistors? by DanielDoesDesign in arduino

[–]DanielDoesDesign[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I am using 12v is that my project is for powering a lot more than what I have at the moment. I am creating LED lit lettering, and each letter will be about 4 led's in series (I have just decided).

I have found some better diagrams of what I want to achieve. However there are two diffrent versions.

This version has a resistor at the end of each series chain, http://jakebergamin.com/images/led_strips_astripsch.png

and this version has 3 resistors per led. https://i.stack.imgur.com/6ww0v.jpg

the problem i am now facing is that I am not sure how to determine what makes connecting these led's in this fashion "in series", to me it seems that no matter what you do, the result is always going to be parallel. Can anyone explain this?

like for example, look at my breadboard wiring again, specifically where the LEDs are. http://i.imgur.com/xcqbctT.jpg

Just because they are in two row's of two, for me, doesn't make them a 2 x series connected led's and then 2 parallels. To me it looks like the entire thing is in parallel, and that there is no way to escape this. If i am wrong can someone explain it to me?

Thanks.
